- what exotic fish I caught in the ocean of music -

We waiting a feedback from The Turtles, Glenn
Quite a long time distance is …

This excellent thread started by Bonham has been quiet for a few weeks…
Just trying to keep it alive with a few tunes…

Janis Joplin - Summertime

Steve Winwood, Eric Clapton - Can’t Find My Way Home (old Blind Faith song)

Jim Croce - I Got a Name

Never been much of a live album guy, 9 below zero - live at the marquee, thats a album right up there.

This is how it kick off.

And i think the saying was for a long time, you are not a band before you have played at the marquee.

Now we are at the live album part of the evening, then Supertramp live in Paris ( 1979 ) is also executed pretty well both the concert and the mix.

Rocked the “house” on my big ass B&W speakers, mixed with the unmistaken smell of hot tube amps, and also on the Bayer dynamics headset when cool calm and collective.

Fleetwood mac you say

Sure, BUT ! the early years, thats where my heart is.

Great recent posts. I could be the author of them too …

Unfortunately, such a great music like as Supertramp’s is not so popular now.
Most young people do not know about the existence of such groups. Another generation …

sparkyDK, I’m happy that found Taj Mahal some years ago. Pretty late, but it still happened.

And just a spark to a legend with his whole career with Roxy Music - Sir Brian Ferry:

Equations…

Bowie + Lindemann + Apocalyptica = awesome

mind = blown

Whoa… why have I not seen this before??

Lessee, I know I spotted Ritchie Blackmore, Tony Iommi, David Gilmour… was that also Brian May? Bah, can’t keep the list in my head. Old age…

In a similar vein…

Still get goosebumps at some points.

I cant read music, so since i always liked the piano as a awesome instrument, so i have been thinking about playing a little piano hero.

Blues, Country, Folk music. Ray Wylie Hubbard has been around for almost 40 years.

Has anybody heard the story about Rodriguez?
An interesting movie to watch Searching for Sugar Man - Wikipedia

I think it’s on Netfix or some of the other movie channels.

Here is a live clip:

Found the movie “Searching for Sugar Man” in internet with good quality. Tomorrow I can watch it… The references are intriguingly for documentary movie… plus your recommendation Mr. Robowski:slight_smile: I’ll left my opinion then.

Thanks for sharing with us Man Without Shadow! Don’t remember how long I have not heard such a song!
It looks like Jean Michel, but it goes much farther…

I’m sure, if we spend all our life for listening of music, we would find only part of it, that we would define as its own.
So, any side help is welcome…

We keep our fingers crossed for you Aretha ...

Aretha Franklin ‘Gravely Ill’ in Detroit Hospital

Thanks Bonham again for reminding us of timeless bands like EWF…
They are indeed my favourite funk band.

And thanks for letting us know about Aretha - The Queen
I just looked it up on the news after I read this.
We can only send our best thoughts to her and wishes for recovery.
R-E-S-P-E-C-T

Add Bryan Adams and Bruce Dickinson :stuck_out_tongue:

EDIT: Lars Ulrich on the drums?

“The King is dead, long live the King!”
Probably the new king of music has occurred somewhere in the world. We’ll probably hear about him …

But now, let’s give our tribute to the Queen we lost today!

Thanks for all the GREAT videos.

My claim to fame is that I met Johnny Winter Three times in my home town of Phoenixville, PA.at the Colonial Theater. My Jimi Hendrix Pictures got me back stage ALL 3 times! My brother took them on April 12, 1969 @ the Spectrum in Philly. Of course Johnny played w/ Jimi and loved him!

People were getting autographs[20 second encounter] and it was more important to me to spend ~ 3 minutes with him, show him the pictures of Jimi and talk about him and Jimi.

The other is I met James Allen Hendrix Twice in his home in Seattle,WA. He is Jimi’s father! The year was 2000, Two years before Al passed away.

Hello again Bonham,

Indeed a sad say. Aretha’s suffering has ended.
As Don McLean once said “The day the music died”

Wolfdog - incredible memories for you - thanks for sharing

Great doco. He’s coming to Oz soon. Mrs wants to go see.
