Make sure to give us some throw numbers when you get a chance. They say 135kcd, but with a good high drain battery it might be higher.
Hey Matt,
Another great review … just ordered a Mini.
Many Thanks
I just measured 148kcd from my CW. :+1:
Thanks!
Great review, thank you. Next time, click your fingers twice and the logo will be the right way up

where do u live? all lights afaik are sent out, to some regions/ countries it can take a big longer im afraid and is beyond Lumintops control… seems we in EU got our lights quite fast.
I dont think anyone will be dissapointed in this light - they did an amazing job giving its bigger brother a smaller guy that is just as impressive as i can imagine the bigger GT be as i dont own one or have needs for it, the smaller GT throws still far more then any other cheap lights.
No GT Mini here yet either, even though it was shipped among the first ones. Last place tracked is from 4.8. in Guangzhou.
Where can you order one?
UPDATE TO MANUAL
After trying mode 4 and mode 10 it appears that the groups are reversed.
Modes 1-6 use full turbo as 100% (5A)
Modes 7-12 use the top of the ramp as 100% (2.5A)
We definitely need an updated manual to reflect this.
Edit: And here it is.

Nice video review. I haven’t purchased one yet, but now I think I just might. I have no idea it was so tiny. I was hoping you had a thrunite catapult v6 to compare it with. That would be a awesome matchup.

The Catapult V6 is a:
Bigger light
Bigger led
Bigger hot spot
Bigger power (assuming it lives up to specs)
Bigger price
Same throw distance
So it depends on which fits your needs.
How does the throw and such compare with a Thrunite TN4A? I know the TN4A is bigger/heavier, but I have it and wondering if the GT mini significantly out performs.

well looking the specs for the throw from thrunite it says Max beam distance: 326m. so the gt mini compared throws on paper twice as long it has a rated throw of 750m if that says anything ?
Thx for the feedback. I was able to look at the specs a bit and indeed the gt mini claims more throw and candela than my TN4A. Wish I could do a side by side comparison without purchasing . . . .
I know 2x lumens is not that noticeable, is 2x the throw at a couple hundred yards? I doubt I could see much at 750 yards

Which version, Xml2, xpl or xpl hi?

here is a pic i took a few days ago, the building i pointed at is almost 400m away, i can clearly see that it reached even tho it shows bad on my cellphone, but yea 750 u will barely see the beam reach i asume… but either way the gt mini is a killer thrower at this size for sure…

Thanks. And more to be corrected:
…If [temperature] is selected for auto step-down, the GTmini goes to 100% output. Leave the GT to heat to the desired limit, and then click to set that temperature as the trip point (the GTmini is huge, so this can take 20 minutes or longer, use fresh cells for this). Or click within 5 s to keep previous setting.
GTmini is not huge and it doesn’t take 20 mins to get hot. So this statement looks weird, probably caused by a simple replacement (GT to GTmini?)
The strobes are deactivated by default.
Strobes are all enabled by default, at least on my GTmini.
