[Available again! - BLF special edition light] new Sofirn AAA twisty high CRI 5mm LED

Could you please add me to the list for Qty-2

Thanks!

Which flavor? 3200k or 5600k?

Yes! Let the fabrication begin! Or as the King once said, “A little less conversation, a little more action!”

In for two of each.

I really like the Noir/Djozz design as it is.

On principle, I think it should have both holes, even if the majority who care won’t use the trit hole.

The reason I say that is because the people who want a trit and/or a magnet need the corresponding holes, or they can’t do it at all. On the other hand, the people who don’t want a trit or a magnet don’t lose any function if the holes are present; they can just ignore them or even fill them in.

Forget democracy, it’s time for an Imperial Decree

I put Elmer’s Glow in the Dark glue in my trit holes.

Elmer’s on the left, green trit vial on the right…
Of course I charged up the glue “trit” for the photo…and it will fade of course…but not bad…

Wouldn’t adding a vial of trit to a $6 light be the same as putting $1200 worth of wheels and tires on a ’74 Pacer?

Maybe so, but I have some spare trits left over from other projects so no new cost - hopefully this light will be tough enough to out last the trit.

Man Without Shadow, how well does the GITD glue stay in place?

On a flat surface, it will peel off. But in a trit hole it seems to stay ok. It could easily be plucked out with a fingernail or toothpick. Haven’t had it in my pocket banging around with keys or anything.

Just something I tried…and the price is right!

I would tell them that we really prefer the magnet hole, and are split on the trot hole, so use their discretion.

This is true of course. All I can do is go off of my first hand experience and other tests that back them up.

The E01 has had a long time to prove its reputation. I think it will take the Sofirn a while as well, but I’m optimistic from what I’ve seen thus far.

2 x 3200k please.

I told Barry to go ahead with the design. I also asked if a split ring will be included and yes it will be included (costs almost nothing but it is very convenient that it is already there).

All that is left for us in the design stage is decide on ano colours and we may as well start a poll now. Perhaps it is nice to use the poll function from the BLF-editor because this poll will probably run a bit longer and everyone will easily follow the results. I have never tried that but will have a go in a few minutes.

Sofirn will be making 3 colours, and the options that Barry gave me (I hope that they will not change that after the poll) is black, “light gold”, red, silver and purple.
I hope everyone agrees that black is obligatory, so the poll will be about the other two colours. The poll can run I guess until Sofirn is ready to start production.

Hmm, I tried for a bit but could not find it. Anyone who knows how to set up a poll inside BLF?

The only way I can think of is go to

http://budgetlightforum.com/forum/marketplace/blf-se

Under new topic you’ll see new poll. I’m guessing start it there and then post a link to it?

I’m new to this forum though, I may be wrong.

interested x 2.

Go to the appropriate subforum. Click new poll next to the new topic button.

Yes, I found it, but it seems that there is only one poll option: choose one from a list. What we want here is choose two (and not more), or an option to sort the 4 colours in preference.

I could list all possible combinations of 2 colours, that would be 6 options, but that does not record any strong preference for one of the colours. Maybe surveymonkey is the way to go after all.
