Maybe because the general public doesn't even knows jackshit? Exactly this last knight I was speaking to a close friend, one which still seemed “brainwashed” by the general cool crap white ignorance in these matters. Showed him my latest CRI90+ 4000K XHP50A powered :-D SK9V8… He ended up suggesting me to tweak one of his regular SK98s with a high CRI 3000K emitter. He had already seen this lovely T3 7A4 CRI90+ XM-L2), thank God.

Cheers :-)

Yeah, as time goes forward the preference seems to be getting warmer and warmer.

Although long term I see the favirote staying around the 4500-5000k mark as a lot of people love it and most others don’t hate it. So it pleases almost everyone.

A high CRI 4500-5000k emitter is really great to look at as well, particularly with a hint of rose in the beam.

What is so good about this 3000k XM-L2? How is the tint? Any color testing by Maukka or the like?

No tests done that I know of. Lovely looking warm output. :-)

Cheers ^:)

Sweet! I would like to try it for my bedside light.

Yes, it is pretty. A few weeks ago I beam optimized a friend's SingFire-L05 headlamp which I once modified with such T3 7A4 emitter, to change its optics from reflector to TIR. Did it with this 35.8mm marble grain lens @ Yajiamei Optics plus two ∅35×2mm flat lenses on top to supplement the total lens setup height. Worked like a charm, and when I turned the headlamp on again I was struck with the reddiness of the thing versus an S2+ class torch modified with a first batch (T6 chromaticity coordinate) 4000K CRI90+ LH351D plus wide beam TIR, which looked green in :-D comparison LoL! Lovely smooth and wide beam for close up work.

That was another day in a modder's life. ;-)

Has anyone used their 351B 3000K 90cri leds on a light yet? I haven’t found a light to use these leds on yet but I wanted to see if anyone could report back and let us know how they look.

I got 2 triples earmarked for lantern use, one with the ww 219As from FT, another with a 3-up of the 351Bs.

Not much time to play with anything yet, as Something™ always comes up…

I was just about to order and realize that it is a 7A3 and not 7A4 in your link. I would love to try the 7A4 as that is more rosy. Do you have any idea where the 7A4 can still be purchased? Thanks.

I put one in my Nitecore Tip and really like it. Nice warm tint and beautiful colors!

I believe that “7A3” is actually a typo:

I see “7A4” in the label.

Cheers :-)

Oh you are right! Sweet!

Any chance of another group buy for the 4000K LH351Ds?

My LED has arrived few days ago. Thanks for the group buy

Привет, Андрей

My 42x 5000K, 37x 4000K LH351D and 4x 3000K LH351B have arrived, too.

Большое спасибо!

Томас

I put these into my D4 replacing 219c 4000k 83cri. Output increased by 35-40%.

Low levels are slightly greenish, but well within my personal tolerances.

Sorry if I missed this, but for future reference, what were the order codes of the D and B emitters that finally went out?

Ordered some from Kaidomain but I just got confirmation from them that it is indeed the 7A3 and not the 7A4, which they sold out. They changed the link and deleted that image showing 7A4. Darn, I was really hoping to try a WW 90CRI emitter with far below the BBL tint to get rid of the yellowness.

If you not stick to 5050 format (XM-L), probably the new Luminus SST-20 3000K emitters could be good (being slightly under BBL). Maybe you can also hope for newer stock of E21A in 3000K, but Clemence said, that there were issues with mass production of some CCTs of E21A emitters.
I have only 2000K and 4000K Nichia E21, which are both under BBL, or at least no signs of yellow color domination.
