Also I came without a tube for AA batteries a few months ago. I wrote to BG and the tube was sent to me for free.

I think they have to be inside a GTmini, though.
Before I knew better, I got the 2xAA tube with that light. I never use the long tube though because it only offers added runtime, rather than improved output over single AA. Because of this, and the rather mediocre output on AA, I just use it with a single 14500.
