What's Up With Fasttech's Shipping Charges?

I’ve placed 3-4 orders with Fasttech for all sorts of miscellaneous items in the last few months, including one recent one, and there was always free shipping for everything.

I just tried to place an order for a small flashlight with a built-in battery and some other minor stuff and first, it said they cannot ship anything containing a battery unless you go through some special shipping methods that had outrageous shipping charges.

I then removed the flashlight from the shopping cart and proceeded to order the remaining small stuff and the cheapest shipping listed was $13.99!

Anyone know what’s happened with their shipping charges lately?

Y’sure about the minimum charges?

When I was ordering 30Qs, yeah, I got scared of the FedEx/DHL/whatever minimum shipping that came up on the menu (something ridiculous like 40bux), but somehow I got through to the place-order section with minimal shipping. Don’t recall it being free, but only a coupla bux.

Just looked now, yeah, literally a coupla bux. 2bux for grease, 35bux for the 30Qs, 1.94 shipping.

Just play around with the pulldown menu or whatever lets you select the shipping method. Forgot exactly what I did, but I did it twice, first for 2 4pax of button-tops (canceled), then again for the 8pak of flat-tops.

Thanks LB but I tried all that to no avail. I’ll give it another try.

Like I said, I just recently ordered several trits, some magnets and other stuff and the shipping was free.

Well, go figure. Easy, breezy this try! Even with the light with the built-in battery I wanted originally and removed because of the outrageous shipping and with several other items, expedited USPS shipping was $0.52!

Boy, must have been a glitch in their system yesterday. Fifty-two cents shipping is more like it!

Yeah, about what I had. Went from “Whoa! No way…” to another try and free/low-cost shipping and “Yay!”.

Sometimes you just gotta jiggle it to get it loose.

 :+1:

Thanks again for inspiring me LB! :money_mouth_face:
