Sofirn SP10A V2.0

I picked this light up when it first released. Still waiting for arrival. Normally do not pick up small lights but like Sofirn to take a chance.

Exactly, I have V1.0 and I can’t wait to compare those two

I really hope they fixed impact resistance issues Sofirn SP10B - Impact resistance issues?

Looks fine to me

You will like it . I have one from 6mo. ago and it is my work light. Small enough to carry unnoticed and bright enough for close to medium distances. I put a protective ring around the switch so it never activates in the pocket and helps index the button .

Hi Pennzy, can you post a picture of this protective ring around the switch please? Thx!

Sorry but I don’t have what it takes to post pictures . I can tell you what I did though. Simply glued a stainless steel washer over the button. Harbor Freight has assortment packs of stainless and brass washer that seem to match up in size well.I could email a picture if you want.

I’m afraid that you don’t want to post the result as it’s not aesthetically pleasing. I’m I correct?

To upload a picture you can use igmur.com and post a link here

No, I just don’t want to upload pictures to the cloud.

I just bought a blue SP10B (V1) :person_facepalming:

I see that the V 2.0 has a SMO reflector… That’s a drawback for me.

My v2 does not have an SMO reflector, it’s the same OP as the earlier versions.

I’m not very happy with the v2. I bought one because another one of my UT01’s stopped working with 14500s. I was looking forward to the improved mode spacing.

I didn’t realize that they’d gotten rid of the option to turn on to moon that the last generation had. Now it just comes up in whatever the last normal mode it was in before it was turned off. Oh, but only when using 14500s. If I’m reading the instructions right, it doesn’t have mode memory when used with AA cells.

Be forewarned. They gave a mode and took away a useful UI affordance.

That’s good to know. However, on their store on AE it’s figured with SMO reflector…

That’s… nasty. :frowning:

Thank you for the warning.

I had all versions, V2 is hopeless, I do not recommend it…

- Starts with Low, WTF?

- The mode memory sometimes does not work at 14500

  • One 14500 was discharged to 2.2V

Interesting. The blue v2 is pictured with a SMO reflector, but the description says it has an OP reflector. The black is pictured with an OP reflector.

theres a lightning deal right now its $12.99, ends in 4 hours

Amazon

And now there is a $3-off coupon, which works out to $11.99.

I got my today (finally!).
I use only AA, so can’t comment on 14500, but starting with low (5lm) instead of eco (0.5lm) is a big disappointment. :person_facepalming:
One needs to click (slowly) 4 times to get to Eco mode. Unfortunately 4 quick continuous clicks turns flashlight to lock-out.

I have previous version as well and it’s perfect EDC  , as it starts - according to manual - with Moonlight (1lm) witch to me looks more like 0.5lm or even less.
Now I’m wondering who in my family or among my friends will be the victim and is going to get it from me as a gift. :innocent:

The ML is so low on mine I have to check if it is on or not . What do you use it for?
