Emisar D4S review

I was suppose to received one repaired light from skylumen…

I had great experiences with intl-outdoor… shipped on August 11. Received on August 17. 6 days only… will buy from intl-outdoor again.

Same color as d4.

I couldn’t wait for the shockli 26650 to be fully charged… it is 4.08v and I got 4730 lumen @ turn on. I use Texas ace tube for the lumen specs.

Xpl hi 5000k tint… big hotspot… look more into cool white tint.

Well hopefully this means mine is arriving soon. Mine also shipped on the 11th and the mailman is probably confused why I’ve been checking the mailbox every day.

You will get it tomorrow… it just take longer to ship from southern california…

Just hope you don’t hate your new D4s…

Nope… never… intl-outdoor knows how to make blf guys happy…

What light is the second from right?

Please disregard the old test… here is d4s xpl hi 5000k with fully charged shockli 26650. It is pushing 5000 lumen.

Hmmm. Mine is still processing. I wonder if I should be concerned, or just wait patiently.

DQG Tiny 26650 3th, I think it still entitled to the world’s smallest single 26650 light.

Hard to go back to “normal” lights with a piece of magic like this in your hands.

UI, form factor, performance and “wow!” factor so satisfying.

Love the blue LED “trits”…nice touch!

You are so right. I’m seriously contemplating only buying emisars from now on. I just wished that they pushed up production of more colors, models, and cool add-ons like the blue LEDs.

How can i change stepped to smooth ramping ?

when light is on…fast click 3x…

Thank you… i spent 5 minutes trying to switch to smooth ramping… i was doing three fast click and hold from off…

I tested three unprotected.

1st. Shockli imr 5500 mah. 5040 lumen… turbo output maintain strong.
2nd. Liitokala 5000 Mah… 5000 lumen…
3rd. Efest green imr 4200 mah. 4750 lumen.

I am using shockli imr on my d4s… it performs great…

I did some research on 26650 high drain batteries not long ago:

I’m curious what people think of the method used for smooth and stepped ramps, and switching between them. Do you use just one, or both? If just one, which? What configurations do you use, and why?

Smooth ramping is nice just for the pure novelty of it. I guess when I use a flashlight it’s just to light something up in the dark that I’m looking for or to get a better view. Very seldom, if at all, do I need to change the level of light for the few moments that I need it.

Magical lights like these are more show pieces for me and my friends. I can look in the closet with anything. I am almost reluctant to use my showcase lights for fear of damaging them by either a clumsy drop, banging it on something or rattling my keys against it all day.

Mostly I just appreciate all the options and the complicated UI for the craftiness of the programmer and the effort it took to make it work well.
