It looks like this bag is not padded, it's just thin material. What I like about Neal's bag is that it's fully padded all around. It gives very good protection for the light.
I'm not sure if it is padded or not, for I have not received it yet. However, I have Neal's bag and while yes it is padded, I know that the amount of padding offers minimal amount of protection, especially on both ends where Neal's bag doesn't have any padding at all which is where you would really need it. When you're walking you are bound to hit something and the ends of the bag is where you are going to get your impact.
Additionally, there has not been any word on how long it will take for Lumintop to resupply the bags and with that being said, some bag is better than no bag.
I personally wrap my GT35 in a high density foam padding that I had lying around here. These were to insulate hard drives from shock. My padding fits well into Neal's bag and the GT35 can now really take a good front, back and side jolt/impact, much more than what Neal's bag can offer, hence why it matters not to me if the above Amazon bag possibly doesn't have any padding.
Lastly, I'm just trying to help those who need a bag for the GT series light which is a beast to hold and carry. You really can't beat the price of these bags, $11.94 for the black, a small price to pay for some decent protection and a good way to carry the light. Oh, and you have plenty room to store your accessories i.e. extra battery, carriers etc.
Tried paying for my cap and strap on lumintopinline and get a 404 error when I click on proceed to checkout. Anyone else having this issue?
*****edit*****
Received message from Lumintop. I had used discount code with accessories which was a “no no”. The code dropped off shipping fee. Lumintop graciously removed code and tacked on $12.00 shipping so I could continue processing to payment.

Try using a desktop if you aren't and use a different browser. I had to stop using Fire Fox and use chrome which worked flawlessly.
Thanks for the tip. I tried both before contacting Lumintop. Turns out the browser was fine, I put in the discount code when I was just ordering the accessories (since they were out when I ordered my light). According to Lumintop, this will block checkout. They manually removed the discount code from my cart and charged me $12.00 (egads!) to ship the items with my light. Maybe it goes towards additional packaging. Still less than full retail.

Back in April, when I bought my bag and cap, there was no extra shipping fee. This was a seperate order by itself. It came in an envelope in 3 weeks.
So I’m wondering why they are charging the $12?

I'm not sure but it surely seems that there is someone at Lumintop that doesn't understand the agreed free shipping and other charges. Yes, it was nice of them to give us the steepest discount but it seems that they have made it up with other misc. charges. While it's not going to kill anyone it violates the spirit of the agreement. $12.00 that seems to be really high. I'm not sure what to suggest. Certainly share your thoughts with T/A. I"m not sure what he can do but he might have a better insight in getting things back to what you expected.
I am wondering, I received the email for the CW lights and a mention that says the NW will be ready in about 2-4 weeks and that email was sent on 8-13.
My question is, Should I keep checking that link in the email to see if they added the NW’s, OR are they going to send another email that the NW’s are available now ..?
The other thing I noticed was “Parts”, did they change their minds? No parts?
Most likely all my questions have already been answered so I’m sorry for asking again, I looked around but being such a long thread now it’s sort of hard to find specifics.
They will send everyone another round of emails when the conversion kits and NW lights are ready for sale.
TA has mentioned that Lumintop does not want to sell the reflectors and lenses seperately. Something about them being easily damaged in shipping. I have not heard anything about the carriers. Maybe TA knows more about the carriers.

Thank you JasonWW,
I appreciate you taking the time to answer my questions, the thread was just to long to read every post.
As far as reflectors, besides having hundreds shipped to me and only one being damaged, and that was by customs, I don’t think that’s a great excuse.
But, for all the troubles they had early on they may be a bit spooked and surely wouldn’t want to replace one due to shipping.
There packaging though is second to none, so a small box with a similar foam similar to the big light shipment and most likely no damage.
So I’ll wait for my NW email, Thanks Again Jason..!!
Gary
I paid for the BLF GT in April, and I still don’t have all the parts. I don’t know where to post this, either, but some people suggested I post here.
I am missing an endcap so batteries just fall out. I know the light works, but I can’t do much with it unless I hold or tape the batteries in.
Neal won’t respond to me, and Lumintop said they shipped an endcap 2 months ago. It never arrived and they won’t even respond to confirm they have the correct address for me. They sent me a tracking number but it has never had any information tied to it (no address, no updates, I don’t even think it made it to the USA). The last email they sent me took them two weeks to reply, and all they said was they would send another one. Didn’t bother to confirm my address. Didn’t give me another tracking number.
I tried to cancel my payment through PayPal, but they told me to ship back to China and gave me a bad address that I couldn’t ship to. Shipping to that city would be ~$70-150 anyway, which almost makes it not worth it. I was on hold almost 4 hours the other day and wasn’t able to get anyone on the phone.
I was told that there are three Lumintop users here that might be able to help me. Anyone have any ideas? I just need an endcap/tailcap.
I just talked to them and they said they sent another tailcap to you on July 3rd. Were you aware of this shipment?
They said they will resend another one tomorrow as well since it doesn’t sound like they can verify the status of the one they sent on the 3rd.
The wait until the 3rd was due to the package forwarder they use not being able to call the last package lost until 60 days have passed and the boss at lumintop is real picky about that happening before they resend items (they don’t get an insurance payout until then is part of it I am sure).
Neal says he has been in contact with you about this.
Lumintop should DHL him a tailcap. This is despicable behavior from Lumintop for a $220 dollar flashlight he purchased in good faith.
After reading his post on Reddit, I was the one who suggested he stop by here and ask, knowing Lumintop watches these GT threads, and has 3 user accts here. Hopefully Neal can pull strings and get Lumintop to stop screwing around making hollow excuses, and get this BS handled.

You are talking about ordering the strap and lens cover correct? That doesn’t seem right, I am guessing it is the automated system adding shipping.
Apparently they can’t change that part of the checkout process without breaking the rest of the site and it is easier to refund the extra shipping after the fact. At least that is why there is the $2 charge on the CW GT70. I assume the same applies to these as well.

How much was the new lights supposed to cost?
I’m seeing $325 and somewhere I read it was $200 something? Are they refunding the differences.?
I sent an email to Leo asking him about those of us who are waiting for the NW lights to be ready to ship and if buying the 30Q cells now and having them hold them until the NW’s are ready to ship is the right way to do this or is there going to be cells available just for the NW lights.?
Hard to beat $43 for 8 30Q’s.
Thanks
Gary
Oh ya, one more suggestion for the wish list of parts, how about switches, I’m forever getting lights that the switch eventually fails on me and finding the proper replacement can be impossible at times .

They are $225. Th emails for them include a coupon code that drops the price. I will send you a Pm in a little bit.
I would wait on ordering the 30Q’s, I see asking them to hold the order also asking for problems.
The switches come pre-soldered onto the drivers so they would not be able to offer them separately as they do not order them that way. The conversion kit does include a switch though.

Thanks TA, I went back and reread the email with the code so please disregard, and regarding the cells, yes your thought was my thought exactly so thought I’d just send a message to the fella who sent me the CW notice and asked him about what happens for the NW’s but your formal inquiry would be much better for all of us.
I can barely read an email that clearly says $220 with a discount code even, so whatever Leo tells me about cells for the NW’s will probably get translated here backwards.
Thanks for insight on those switches, I didn’t know that, so the conversion kit is very important, and the reflector.
Have a wonderful day

The orders should start shipping next week. In the past they hand off the orders to the package forwarder at the end of the week.

Some time ago i was able to buy 4 Samsung 30Q's for $23 Australian on Banggood, so i ended up buying 32 of them & ive never seen them as cheep again since. About $16 USD.

I paid the $325 before I knew of the discount code. Is there any way I can still get the code and the $100 discount?
DBuc7G!
Contact Leo@lumintop.com and explain the situation and he should be able to refund you the difference or cancel your order.

If I sign up at this point am still eligible for the discount code? I’m a bit late!
Yes, it is still open at this point. My guess is it will remain open until the NW lights are ready.
The next emails will not be sent until the NW lights are ready but if you want a CW you can PM me for the code.
