DC-Fix Diffusion Film Sale

Cool, I was going to try to see if it helped a sloppy TIR beam on my olight, but would have to put it across bezel and didnt want edges curling from jagged cuts, be cool if they had precut sizes.

Yes that would be nice but, I think with a steady hand and a sharp blade you can do it. I have had to lay it on a lens more than once and thought I would mess it up. I took my time and it worked out just fine. I made a really bad looking video of myself trimming a piece to fit a lens on a light that the bezel wouldn’t come off. If I can find where I hid it on Dropbox I will upload it to YouTube and provide a link, and also embarrass myself in the process.

I thought I answered this the other day it must have been in a PM .

usually I put film on the outside of the lens ,probably because I'm too lazy to open the light or it's a tough light to open ?? anyway I just grab a coin or a battery or you could use a socket from a socket set to trace with a pencil .I use scissors and just try to keep the cut as round as possible and I always default for larger rather than smaller .Since any light sneaking around an edge will show up in the beam . depending on the light you can tuck film under the o-ring with a toothpick .using water under the film letys you move film around a little like when doing auto window film ..Squeeze water out or bake at 10,000 lumens :P

Can you tell me what kind of foil you have? A shop here is selling so many different DC-Fix foils. Milky, Opal, Frost. . .with glue and without. . .

Thanks maukka!
Found the one you mentioned. But they also have the Static Premium Milky .
If i have a bit of time next week i want to go to the store and check them both out.

I'm carrying about 5 different types of diffuser film at this point so people can try out different materials used for different diffusion techniques .

I have thinner or thicker ... adhesive and non- adhesive materials

PM me for info

Today I finished DC-Fixing my first light. Folomov EDC-C4.
For me this is a camping light and for that purpose it was too throwy.
Some time ago I cut a new lens from the thickest DC-Fix. It was too thin, so I lost waterproofing. I was not worried because I got some GITD o-rings for the light in the mail already. They arrived today, so I finished the change by adding a second o-ring.

The light is still a little too throwy but much better. Marginally lighter than before as well. Thanks Boaz!

Added DC fix to SC26 today . Nice. A little less throw but way nicer wall of light starting at my feet.

PM’ed with a request for an order.

Hey Boaz. Got a Wuben E05 yesterday in the mail. Great little light and gets plenty bright and nice spacing on the modes. The beam isn’t so great. So after playing with it for a while and really liking the feel and operation I DC-Fixed the little goober. Did a great job of eliminating most of the crazy tint shifts and rings. Made it more floody of course, which I like, and made the light that much more enjoyable. Looking forward to getting my new envelope full of DC-Fix. Like I told you in the PM, I used more of it on friends and family’s lights than I did my own. I have to stock up on what they got off of me.

PayPal sent for a couple of sheets.

$20 WowTac A2 before and after. I used the film with white backing on this one.
Much improved the bouncy ball effect still has hot spot witch I like.

How does this material stick? Static type laminate or does it actually have an adhesive?

The other I tried had some light adhesive I think, still easy to remove. The white backed stuff I used about doesn’t. I am using the bezel to hold it down.

I just used the Wowtac above for a 3 block ally walk with the dogs. It made my experience, Less busy. Well worth it to me.

I have some of both adhesive and some thicker film without ..Just depends on what you want to use it for .

PM me for info on different film other than Dc-fix .

Hey Boaz. I have had the Wowtac on my head since the mod(minus a quick shower).

I did a driver swap and flashed it with Anduril earlier today. After the driver swap I used it in the basement to tear down another light, and in the garage looking for tools to tear down another light. Oh and I used it to look for my dc-fix. The wife is gone today so I have gotten to play.

I wasn’t sure I was going to keep this until I put the dc-fix on it and took a short walk, I am using it now at the computer.

The dc-fix turned this 5/10 light into a 9/10 light that just might stay.

I think I will dc-fix my NU30 before the wife gets home.
