I got mine from Amutorch direct. I didn't know they packed differently for their resellers.
@will34 suspect it is the tailcap switch giving the problem. See if you are able to power up the light by connecting the tube and battery cathode with a wire?
Well… I took it apart, checked all the connections, gave it a good cleaning, put it back together, and it works just fine now.
Pretty neat light too…… :+1:
For those who received DOA, I bought mine back in September, but it was also “DOA.” I did basic disassembly and cleaned off the excessive lube, and it’s been fine ever since. However, mine has a manufacturing defect that doesn’t affect operation, but annoys me - the clip is mounted badly. The holes are drilled crooked and too close to the edge of the tailcap, so the clip sticks out and the light cannot stand straight. Seeing this thread today finally motivated me to write Banggood about it. Will see how it goes!
Do prepare your image+video proof for your Banggood claim.
