(prototype) the GT Mini

Mine arrived yesterday (aug 23). Light is really small and bright. Very good scaled down version of the GT. Similar size and performance as my similarly tinted D1S. I do think the Mini GT appears to be brighter to my eye. Very happy with the CW and NW versions

LOL…thanks allot bro…

Sure thing my friend… we’re all in this together!!

Mine is supposed to be here Tuesday the 28th.

ALL our GT’s that sat around together somewhere in China, Timbuktu, or the hold of that boat above for 3 weeks may have ‘seperation anxiety’ now that they have finally hit the USA & gone their seperate ways.

Mine says NY to CT now in NJ.

Excellent leroycp!!

Just out of curiosity I wish we knew what the 3 week delay was. There seems to be several of us that experienced that. It’s almost like a tote or palet going to NYC just got set aside at the China shipping carrier & just forgot about for around three weeks before continuing the journey.

But…… we will never know. .
We will all just be happy & satisified to finally get them. . :+1:
I will anyway……

Hallelujah… my Mini GT is still on the move!!! :open_mouth: . .

The GT mini first impression in hand feels like im holding a zebra light, soo small but very comfortable. Took it outside in the backyard to compare it to the Thrunite Catapult V6 and its pretty impressive with the throw and heat management. I need to go to a more open area to really appreciate the light.

They shipped my mini gt august 16th, and the light is in fedex smartpost los angeles, CA. Scheduled delivery date is august 29th…

Not bad…

Not bad at all. Mine shipped 2 August and sat around somewhere till it showed up in NYC yesterday. Oh well, such is life.

Teacher, check your tracking number! Mine said it was going to arrive Tuesday and now it’s arriving today!

I’m going to be exhausted for work tomorrow night but I know I’m going to be running around like a moron with this light. My coworkers are going to be so jealous.

Teacher—— How was your night waiting on the Mailman —— Just a couple more to go—— :person_facepalming:

finally man! glad to hear it didn’t go overboard lol

Congrats my friend, enjoy!!
Already checked… no such luck for mine. … I’m thinking mine might well arrive Monday though… a day early.

Mine left CT early this morning……

It went pretty good my ‘Bayou Brother’, the ’skeeters’ were not to bad.  ……

Amen to that!! :+1:
I guess the ‘Slo Boat from China’ ain’t so bad after all…… just slow.

’Slo Boat from China’…. the original.

I know a couple people have reported QC issues, and my boxes were extremely banged up but I am happy to report both lights not only work perfectly, when you line them both up on turbo the beam profiles are identical! (Edit: not identical to the BLF GT, I ordered two minis) The BLF GT mini with the short tube is the same height as the noctigon meteor but the head and battery tube is obviously much smaller.

It’s such a concentrated throwy beam in such a tiny package that it gives me the same joy as turning on the BLF GT. It’s really crazy how you can fit D1S throw in something smaller than a noctigon meteor.

The one they sent out during august 16th batch are good… i personally ask them about quality and they said led is well centered, and nice reflector.

strange i found the way the packed the light very good sounless a car ran over yours idk how it happend.

I’m hoping the one’s they sent out on 2 August (that had a 3 week layover somewhere in route… ) are “good” too.

It looked like a car ran over it! One of the boxes was so mangled I couldn’t slide the box out of the sleeve, I had to cut the sleeve off and cut the box open.

Just goes to show how great their padding is that one box could be so mangled and yet both lights are consistent.

Comparison, BLF GT on the left, mini and micro on the right: Imgur: The magic of the Internet

Here are a few photos comparing the GT Mini to the Emisar D1S. Click to embiggen.

Bezels are the same diameter. The GT mini is 132mm long. The D1S is 128mm long.

I prefer the D1S’s non-crenulated bezel, and its larger and firmer switch.

The D1S’s reflector appears very slightly smoother that the GT Mini’s, but it’s probably not noticeable during use.

If I had to pick one, I’d still pick both.

I hope to post some beamshot comparisons when the weather permits.

embiggen? Crashlands perhaps?
