Feeler thread / sneak preview: Wuben TO50R HC ("The Flashlight")

Wow! Looks good. I’m not in at this time. But I’m definitely watching development here!

I’m super interested if this is compatible with Noctigon quad MCPCB and Carclo optics. That way we can easily swap it MCPCBs populated with emitters of my choice.

Interested - prices?

Yep, interested.

Designed to use Carclo => easy swap guaranteed.

Interested

Interested, will be only black available, or colored versions too???

Interested.

interested

Looks pretty cool. I’m interested.

Black is the new black. No other colors planned.

Yes! Looks pretty darn cool to me:

Liking that pocket clip!

21700? i am interested. depends on the price.

Even though some people might think double clicking is tedious, I love the way TK’s RampingIOS v3 on the D4S works. Double click takes you to the previous mode. Would that be a possibility? Implemented on the W button this would mean there’s a slight delay when changing modes forward. On the power switch, a delay on powering off, which isn’t very bothersome on the D4S.

+1! Deep deep carry

The light seems pretty robust too!
I am just wondering about the UI, =the=

The UI is designed to be as easy as possible and have no delays:

  • Click on, click off. Instantly. No delay.
  • Click W to change mode, or triple click to change three modes. No delays, no strobes, no worries.
  • Momentary turbo available from any mode (including off)

Here’s the latest draft. Just for you. Don’t tell anyone! :stuck_out_tongue:

Modes are not final. Anything can still change. No promises!

Fair enough. As long as there’s the shortcut to moon from off, which was the biggest drawback on the TO46R.

Any further clues as to what this may be?

Yup, this is it, what I missed, the possibility to go from the lowest mode and not only the previously used mode (memorized) :+1:

Ahah, I won’t tell anyone
But I will tell that I am liking it  Wish the TO46R had a similar UI! And I like that return from Turbo to the mode used before (am I correct?) !!
Great work mate! As I said, it is good to have manufacturers listening to the community
