ENEDED

Good, glad yours works. :+1: … Nice review you linked to also.
Sadly, long batteries are not my problem…. mine just does not work.

Can it be any connection on the top (head, driver, MCPCB), not the tail? Hope you can solve it and put back to work! :+1:

Well… I took it apart, checked all the connections, gave it a good cleaning, put it back together, and it works just fine now.
Pretty neat light too…… :+1:

Eheh, you know what they say: “from dusT till dawn” :sunglasses:
I’m glad it works now  Hope you enjoy it mate

Yep… that about sums it up.
And thank you my friend… I am liking it pretty well. :+1: .

I think you mean the Sofirn C8F is an 18650 version of the Amutorch 26650 which a “copy” the Shadow SL-3 which came out way back in 2012.

Pardon if this was already mentioned, I haven’t read the whole thread.

Amutorch and Shadow are the same company, just renamed  Maybe the similarities come from that

Please pm me code, thanks in advance.

Anyone still facing QC issue for this model?

All replied.

Is the code still available?

Title says active… if the code is still available, I’m interested too

For those who received DOA, I bought mine back in September, but it was also “DOA.” I did basic disassembly and cleaned off the excessive lube, and it’s been fine ever since. However, mine has a manufacturing defect that doesn’t affect operation, but annoys me - the clip is mounted badly. The holes are drilled crooked and too close to the edge of the tailcap, so the clip sticks out and the light cannot stand straight. Seeing this thread today finally motivated me to write Banggood about it. Will see how it goes!

How bad does it look like? Got pics?

Do prepare your image+video proof for your Banggood claim. [quote=adept1] For those who received DOA, I bought mine back in September, but it was also "DOA." I sent them pictures, and now they want a video? WTF. Anyway, here it is:

You could go trough all the trouble with BG, or…. you could just file or sand it down & call it a day. :+1:

Unfortunately, sanding/filing won’t work because the screw heads are right up against the edge of the clip. It’ll never be right without a replacement of at least the tailcap bezel. I’ve actually never returned something to BG before, so it’s also a test for them. To make matters even more potentially difficult, I took delivery of this light back in September 2018!

/\…. Good luck. :+1:

It would be futile trying to send back a small item like a tail cap. No one will want to spend $15 to $20 to send it back to China. They won’t spend the money and you won’t spend the money. So typically they would just send a replacement tailcap as it only costs them $1 or $2 dollars. Still, they will try to save this money if possible by making you tired and frustrated and give up. If you keep at it they should give up first and just send it.

Keep in mind that China post costs are subsidized by China and the US so it’s super cheap to ship things from China to the US. It’s completely different going the other way. Typically a warranty package would need to be sent DHL insured to China and it costs a small fortune.
