The single mode S10 is not a bad light, I just don't like my one. With an R5 it'd be a better light but if it uses the abysmal driver that the original S10 six mode did it would be a lot better to buy the single mode.
I remember that both Brted and Vectrex bought the six-mode S10 - and did not like it.
The old 6 mode had the next mode problem. Really annoying ... I hope they learned from their mistakes.

Problem is, I don't fancy buying one to find out. And then have to start filing off the silly teeth again. Think I'll pass on this one but will be interested to hear what any buyers think.

I trust 100% that the DX specifications are likely to be inaccurate in some important way.
OK dont worry, Memory mode is not 100% necesary for me. At least it will be my first xpg-R5 light. (the other one I ordered is for a gift)
Then probably I will not purchase any more until the arrival of XM-L flashlights (interesting ones)......... (hope it will be on January or earlier)

Saw the new K10 this morning, looks very interesting. Lots of lumens per buck. Can't decide on 6 or 1 mode.
