The BLF GT70 "Giggle Monster" is here! 7,500lumens, 1,500m throw! Group buy Closed!

Is there a group buy for that Tshirt?

Neal wearing a UI diagram I made, because of a joke which went a bit too far during the BLF A6 project. I think he was going to send me one, but never did.

Anyway, it must have been a prototype or something, since it seems to be missing some dotted lines.

How old is Neal? He looks like he’s 12.

TK, yes that was supposed to be the proto and the shirts were to be made for sale here at BLF in your honor and the proceeds were to go to you and Neal to the best of my recollection,
He was still at BG then and I think they got word of it and Neal stopped responding and the shirt just fizzled out and we never heard anything about it again, what a bummer it was. You sure hit a home run with that A6 UI.

I spent all night trying to figure out what happened with that one cell of mine and I found out but it’s nearly 5:30 am here and I am beat so I’ll tell you later what I found.
I didn’t know there were two springs and all springs I’ve seen have a 90 degree bend on the end, but not these outer springs so I got a huge slice on my finger and a big bloody Sunday for me, so heading to bed, will explain later about how sharp that spring wire is.
Good night all… :confounded:

Sorry if this has been answered, but any updates on the warm tint option?

There will not be a dedicated warm tint anytime soon. It is about a 50/50 chance of 4000k (which some might consider to be on the warm side) and 5000k at this point.

Okay how about neutral?

The neutral tint LED’s should be ordered this week. How long it will take them to get to lumintop is unknown at this time as it will depend on how and where they are ordered.

With this new shorter battery cradle, will a flat top battery make good contact/connection in it?

No, the new carriers still have the polarity protection boards installed. These would have to be removed to use flat top batteries.

Better to solder blob the batteries IMHO.

Hi.

My GT70 has the “new carrier” and battery over 67.30 mm will NOT fit…

If somebody else has measured something else please update.

I have an extra set of Stock BLF GT35 battery carriers (better fit for protected batteries) if someone in the U.S. wants to trade for their GT70 shorty carriers, they are like new…?

So what do you want to change?

If Lumintop keeps the new shorter carriers, I will remove “protected”.

Thank you!

@Mark M
Writing the manual and checking if everything is OK would be easier when the writer has a lamp to compare.
But there is never one. Only asking stuff via emails.
:wink:

I only mentioned that because there are some minor grammatical errors. Not because of the carriers. I was unaware a forum member wrote it. :smiley:

@TK
Oh, you made the shirt the wrong way.
Text and pics on a shirt like this need to be upside down, so you can read it.
:slight_smile:

Does the BLF GT70 have a battery low-voltage protection like in the Sofirn flashlights?

How do I know I’m not pushing the non-protected batteries too much when using the flashlight?

I like blf gt so much and now I own 4. Lol

I’m fairly sure it will shut down, and I don’t believe you’ll be able to push the 30Q’s to far, you can run this light on 4 batteries, actually I think it will run on one if I recall. I can assure you that there’s nothing to worry about especially when TA is behind the drivers functions.

Newlumen, are those Astro’s on both ends?
If so how are they ? Been looking at those and thinking about getting one but really they look like knockoff GT’s, still tempted though… ha ha
I’m Addicted to anything that lights up.
