Muto, I don’t know if hot Bar-B-Que sauce is allowed here, but I’m glad you posted it anyway! I didn’t know there was such a thing as Ghost Pepper Bar-B-Que sauce.
I am a fan of Huy Fong foods sriracha for a sauce that goes on almost anything. (no.really I have put this stuff on vanilla ice cream!)
For the real fire, I currently have a bottle of Flashbang (now being sold as LD50) and a bottle of The End both from the pepper palace. These are essentially weaponized food.
Ed Currie, inventor of the Carolina Reaper, has a new one he’s about to release. He says he got excited with the Reaper and got it out there into the public too fast and it became a nightmare getting it into Guiness Book of Records and all the registration hassle. So his new one is still just “pepper X” and going into the system first. Supposedly it makes peppers with a 3.14 Million Scoville unit rating. Eclipses the Reaper pretty bad and makes Scorpion and Ghost look like Amateur hour.
Did y’all know that there is now a Chocolate Reaper? A little less hot than the original but supposed to be quite tasty…
Edit: My REaper plant just wasn’t producing peppers, flowers yes but they’d fall off all the time. Got 7’ tall twice. I abandonded it and started a Red Savina which now has it’s first pepper on it and a zillion flowers and buds.
DBCustom My reapers did same thing here in NC. We had a hot spell and the flowers would not bear. The heat you guys endure likely has a major effect. My father in law is from around San Antonio and loves peppers. He bit the end of one of the reapers last year and it went straight to his face. I laughed till I almost lost my breath.
This has good heat, what a bottle of hot sauce should be. Be prepared to hit the toilet seat, better yet… reserve a seat for several hours post ingestion.
