Just recieved my Quark mini CR2 s2 edition!

And I must say, this very well could be my favorite purchase!! The sheer brightness from such a compact tiny light blew me away. The modes are perfect and the tint is very nice. This combined with a fairly nice and floody beam makes this such a perfect EDC.

One question, is there any way to tell the difference of the S2 bin just by looking at it?

Thanks!

One Answer - NO

?? explain.

There is no difference to see by looking at it. The only way might be to compare with other certified LEDs and by help of a Lightbox.

Ok, i am a flashlight newb. I just was not sure what his bold 'NO' was supposed to mean.

How bright is it compared to your other lights?

Looks green to me. Is it that green in real life?

Ok, I will get back to you on that. The funny thing is I can't tell you because I am color blind and have a hard time seeing green in specific lol. So i'll ask someone and get back to you haha.

After showing the light to my dad, he says it is just the tint of the paint in my room and that the light is actually a soft white.

I guess for a flashaholic that's color blind has it's own advantages! No need to pay premium for warm tint emitters. My father is color blind and he gave me his last car. Really a nice car and im very happy. Now what it has to do with lights or color? Welll.. he replaced the car antenna with a smaller one and found one nice and cute to his liking. Well... it's pink. :P

I still have it and always make jokes on big parkings like: It's easy to find... search for the most gay anntenna and voila! (this was not intended to be an insult to homosexuals if someone found it offensive)

Needs to be seen to believe, everyone should have this edc, very, very bright!!!

I couldn't agree more. It is one of my favorite lights. Such a durable, bright, high quality light in such a tiny package. Perfect EDC. I put it around my neck on the lanyard when I go on walks and camping.

I've read the specs and these Quarks really seem tiny. I would get one but I can't find CR2's that easy as I find CR123's. Aren't CR2 batteries a bit hard to obtain and much lower in runtimes than CR123's? I'd like to have an 14500 extender for this lite.

4Sevens sells CR2s.

Not directly asking for this light but, looking at 4seven's site, I see some extenders for AA, AA2 and CR123x2. I know mini lights don't usually accept these extenders but would a AA2 extender fit a Quark 123 for example?

The mini? No, they are differently threaded.

No, the regular Quark and the extender?

There are no extenders for quarks, just seperate body tubes.

i looove my mini AA.

it's so tiny and super bright(250 l) on a 14500. hidden flash modes

had it for over a year now, and now problems

a welding spark melted a hole in my lense, though :(
