Hey

mine is also on the loose side.

you can always contact Neal@m4dm4x.com

Great u got the light Delta, the led isnt perfect no but that doesnt bother anyone i think.

Got my GT Mini with the diffuser from Neal too. Yup, the diffuser is a bit loose on the GT Mini (diffuser will generally fall off when GT Mini held upside down). however, the said diffuser fits quite snugly on the ROT66, so I’m using the diffuser with the ROT66 now…

I don’t have the diffuser, but maybe you guys could get a tighter fit if you put a piece of tape around the bottom, inside edge where it slides onto the light.

IDK, I don’t think a piece of tape would be enough. I’m not home right now, but from what I remember, if the Mini GT has an outer diameter of 50mm, the diffuser had an ID of 52-54mm. There was definitely several mm of play between the two. Would almost need a thin strip of rubber or something.

Yes I tried tape - it’s not enough

I emailed Neil about a couple issues, including the diffuser, and am awaiting his response. I’ll let y’all know what he says when I hear from him.

In the meantime, anyone figured out a good way to secure the diffusers?

Enjoying my NW & CW GT Mini lights.

Didn’t order a diffuser but might I suggest you heat up the diffuser (slowly) with a heat gun and then deform it into a more oval shape (near the opening).
This is dependent on type of plastic of course, but it may work to keep them on better.

Get yourself a hose clamp that will fit around the diffuser. put the diffuser on the flashlight head, put the hose clamp on and tighten it up snug. Hit it with a heat gun, and let it cool back off

Or, for an even tighter fit, find something that’s just a bit smaller diameter - by a half millimeter or even a full millimeter smaller. Tighten it around that object and heat it up. Then, it should maintain a tighter fit when it cools and you put it on your GT Mini.

I can’t remember, is this a 2 channel driver? Just one 7135?

Me think so

This should be the driver from the GT mini.

Ji JasonWW, how do I remove the rim when the silicon rubber is installed? I think my rubber button is not aligned well.

That ring should not be pressing it down super hard. Use your thumb to press down and rotate the rubber button. Maybe disconnect the power first. It should rotate.

If that doesn’t work, you’ll need to try using a single edge razor blade to very carefully get between the ring and the body. Just pressing it in should lift the ring slightly. You run the risk of scratching the body and cutting yourself, though.

That’s the only way I know. That style of ring is a press fit and not designed to be removed.

Thank you for quick and useful answer, much appreciated! Thank you!

On the picture above is the white bumper to the left from the black button-top is the thing that preventing me normally operating the light? Is there a matching indent in the rubber cap?

I don’t know what you’re referring to by white bumper. The black switch sticks out about 3 mm and the rubber switch has a semi solid rubber core running from your finger to the switch. Here is the other side of the button.

If the button is not rotated correctly with the light source on the bottom, the switch might feel funny or not work correctly.

I tried to rotate my button, but no luck. It is too tight.

Here is how I would wedge the press fit ring up slightly. I would carefully give it one tap of the hammer and then inspect if it moved or not. Then reset everything and do another tap. I would not tap more than once at a time to make sure nothing has shifted. Notice the angle of the razor blade. One side of it’s cutting edge is flat against the body. The blade itself is angled about 10° to 15°.

If wedging it out the thickness of a razor blade is not enough to get a tiny flat blade screwdriver under the lip you can add a thin piece of metal, like a piece of an aluminum can into the gap and then use the razor blade as a wedge again to tap it further out.

Thank you so much, the case is exactly that. The button feels funny and doesn’t always work. Your pictures help a lot.

Thank you very much! Tried using an Olfa blade but it was too fragile and the ring didn’t move. Based on your help I will try further.
