Best deal/ thoughts on Revtronic MT20?

$16.99 on banggood, but I see they had a now expired coupon which brought it to $11.99.

Anyone have a current coupon?

Also would ncr18650b get this to its full potential?

Thanks

If you are willing to spend an extra $20 you can get a KDIY KF8. Over 2600 lumens. Same style as the Revtronic. XHP 50.2 emitter, choice of tints. Doesn’t have a side switch like the Revtronic. Don’t know if that is a deal breaker for you. Great well built light that will last forever. Check it out if it’s in your wheel house.

The side switch is really what makes me want the mt20 because it allows the tail switch to be used only for on/off/momentary at the same output. I really like that style of operation, like my mh27.

I wonder how hard an emitter swap is on the mt20.

I own many of them. Most were purchased in the last two months under $12.00 US. I think they are an outstanding quality light for the price and the dual switches are really very nice. Machining and overall quality is excellent. I bought so many because for $12 it does not hurt my feeling for them to be dropped, lost or otherwise nearly disposable. I don’t have the same carefree attitude for my Nitecore, TN, lumintop, etc lights.

Gotcha, understood. Wasn’t sure if the side switch was important. Everyone has their own needs. I have moved away from side switches on most lights but, that’s just me. What’s good for me won’t be good for everyone. Smile I’ll keep an eye out for any other dual switch lights with that form factor for ya.

I have one, it’s pretty nice for the low price, I too like the dual switches and it operates like you describe (rear for on/off/momentary, side for modes). The head opens up pretty easily so an emitter swap shouldn’t be hard. It does have PWM on all of the modes except for the max, but the flashing modes are hidden so you don’t have to cycle through them. I don’t know of any other coupons, but you might be able to request one since it does go on sale pretty frequently.
Klarus and Fitorch also have dual switches, but are obviously a different price point.

I bought two at $11.99 I believe. And they are great lights for the price. I would recommend even at $18.99 only if your looking for a side switch light. But if not, then for the same price, a convoy c8 is better and brighter.

I even ordered a few revtronic rt30 because I was impressed with the bang for ur buck pricing. I got it on flash sale. But they just emailed me saying backorder.

Nitefighter bt21! A reference to a cheap bike light that kicked ass. Then nitefighter turned into revtronic and droppped the bt21, but they still make the bt40…,

Sorry jerrommel, I can’t post pics. It’s on gearbest bt21 discontinued. It has a following on MTBR as a favorite budget light. I have 2. Use them a lot. BT40 is still going strong. Flooder

Seems like a bargain.
Quite nice.
Just a pity there’s visible PWM

Or is it not visible?

it is also sold by Fasttech
I have two, bought from Banggood when there was an offer; on one I changed the reflector with a OP. They work well

I’d say it’s noticeable, PWM always bugs me but I feel like it’s not too bad on this light

Pity. I can’t stand it. Rather have 1 mode than low modes with visible PWM
