Sony VTC6A 3000mah,will you choose it?

I appreciated (and should have said so) the information you added to the discussion. I didn’t and don’t have reason to doubt it.

I don’t want to ban you, nor could I if I did. I didn’t even flag your post for rudeness.

I took into consideration that you are a relative newcomer here. I took into consideration that you are communicating in English, rather than your native language. I took into consideration that it seemed to me that you were trying to help. I raised an objection that you did not give the original poster more consideration. You may not care about treating people with the same respect and consideration that they afford you. I think you should.

I will also point out that, while the OP does sell batteries, they aren’t aggressive about it. The only offered information about the product in this thread. They didn’t argue with the test results presented. I had to look through their posting history to even find out how to do business with them. You could have found all this out yourself before you made your post. You do care about accuracy, don’t you?

I don’t have anything more to say here. Please feel free to PM me if I’ve said anything you think you need to address.

Welcome to the forum.

I have been waiting forever for the US18650VTC6A to be available since the beginning of this year but couldn’t find it anywhere. How do you know Vapcell really used a VTC6A instead of a VTC6? There hasn’t been any testing done by HKJ or Mooch on this cell. Also where did you buy it from?

https://18650.uk/product/vapcell-18650-25a-vtc6a/

Here is the link of the first cells “Vapcell Purple 3000mAh 25A Ma continuous discharge” that I ordered at the beginning of the year, on this page you will find a link to serious tests carried out on these cells before their online sale by this store which is quite serious, this site was the first in Europe to offer this rewrap (in stock) but unfortunately it is “out of stock” now but I think it is the case a bit in all the online stores in the world for this rewrap, maintaining very hard to get, then shortly after I met the sales manager at Vapcell, with which I am still in contact, so if you want I can ask him to confirm that it is well rewrap from the Sony US18650VTC6A (and when I claim that I can ask him this are not words in the wind), thirdly I can send you photos of my copies of this rewrap which has a engravure on the negative pole, engravure which is dest ines to venting / degassing on the new models produced by Sony recently, ie the VTC5D, VTC6A (18650 like 21700 for that matter) and the VC7 (18650 and 21700 too), my discharge tests (at 0.2A, 4.2v to 2.5v) gave respectively the following results: # 1: 2990mAh - # 2: 2965mAh - # 3: 2996mAh - # 4: 3055mAh. This confirms that the rewraps I own are based on cells with a nominal capacity of 3000mAh, so here and the engravure of their negative poles, prove that it is indeed rewrap of Sony US18650VTC6A cells.

Now, if you’re still not convinced of my good faith, and you think I’m talking about cracks to make me look like someone important (what I’m not looking for, I’m just giving you some good info I have checked beforehand), I can always bring in the person I spoke to you before, after if you pass for someone you do not want to pass in my opinion, you ask when you want, yours to choose.

Thanks for the info. I asked how you know it is really VTC6A because Vapcell got some pretty bad rep for not using genuines in their rewraps. Also I live in the US so even if they had some left in stock, shipping would make it too expensive. Thanks though.

Now, maybe no one will imply or say that I am a liar when I say that the “Vapcell Purple 18650 3000mAh 25a Max Continuous Discharge” is a rewrap of Sony US18650VTC6A. Photo proof in support (And yes Mooch had tested it for a while already, apparently some did not follow that day).

I got it off the guys here for being British. Don’t let them get to you bud.

Obviously Mooch’s test are predicated for the vaper. That is totally understandable. However, for flashlight guys like me and I would think the rest of the members on BLF, in terms of voltage sag the VTC5A Out performs[not by much but still does] the VTC6A up to ~ 3.60v. [SEE GRAPH]

I use these[VTC5A] for single cell modded lights. I put a fresh battery in after ~ 15 minutes of use when the Voltage is ~ 3.80V. I would never wait until 3.6v to change the battery. By then it has lost way too much ability to sustain max output!

I do not vape but learned from Mooch[by asking questions] that the vapers can benefit more from a battery when it gets to 3.6/3.5,3.4v ect. Not positive but I think the mods have a way of storing/regulating the energy.

So, when mooch says The VTC5A hit a tiny bit harder than the VTC6A at the start of the discharge and the VTC6A outperformed the VTC5A for the rest of it, especially at higher current levels.

That certainly benefits the vape mods but does not apply to a flashlight guy like me when the VTC6A starts to sag less after 3.6V. Way too late for me!

VTC5A wins in my book!

I use VTC5A for my D4’s as I never go lower than 3.7, they’ve lost the wow factor by then.

Thank you, for this analysis and sense objective, for my part you’ll have it I’m vaping, here is the main use of lithium-ion battery outside powerwalls diy and batterybanks diy, I had not heard the point of view of the ” flashaholics “on their use of li-ion beats, so I did not know for the 3.6v limit and others … it was interesting to hear (finally read lol), and I agree with you that the VTC5A will be more efficient than the VTC6A if we take into account this limit of 3.6 volts.

**

What do you mean by that? I did not really understand what you wanted to tell me.

You’re mixing up something here. First of all 3.6V is not resting voltage, but voltage under load. If you’re gonna change your battery everytime it drops below 3.6V under load, you’re gonna have a bad time.
Also this graph is with 20A load, which only would be achieved by absolute hot rod triple or quad builds running on a single battery. The capacity difference between VTC5A and VTC6A might even be more favorable for the VTC6A with lower loads.
Even when comparing the VTC5A to the VTC6, I really see no reason to hold on to the VTC5A except for Lux/Lumen measurements @30secs

Guten abend!!!

I guess I misundertood the graph! :person_facepalming:

I will still stick w/ my VTC5A and VTC5D,because they are great batteries and the VTC6A is not available!!!

EDIT: Hold on a second,it still shows the VTC5A is BETTER under load until it gets to 3.6v! Yes, I was talking about resting voltage in terms of when I change my battery.

Which happens in less than 60 seconds in this graph. The lower the current the more favoured the VTC6/6As will be.

sell out now, many fakes

Hello,
sorry for writing in this old thread.

I´ve used VTC6 in some of my flashlights and never tried VTC5A or VTC5D or VTC6A.
VTC6A seems to be a little bit better (lower voltage sag / lower internal resistance) like VTC6 and even better in performance below 3,6V like all three others.
But 3,6V in graph is under load, tested with 20A.

I don´t know exactly the voltages, but 3,6V under load with 20A means some higher no-load voltage, maybe 3,9V at 5A load.

I also use my batteries not down to 3,0V or below, but the datasheets often show cappacity with discharge rate 0,5C (0,2C) or less down to 2,5V.

So if you use it under load down to 3,6V and check it under no-load, it will show much higher voltage.

So VTC6A seems to be the best choice for me.
VTC6A are available now.

thanks.

Where is it available? I know Vapcell was getting some in. These are the best overall 18650 Ive seen to date followed by the P26A.

Hello,
I´m from Germany.
I ordered them here:

i will not choose it
i have plenty of working batteries as it is

wle

Vapcell got hundreds of original Sony 18650 VTC6A last month. There are fewer than 100pc batteries left. It can be sold through Ali Express

Original VTC6A 18650 or vapcell INR 18650 3000MAH 25A purple VTC6A rewarpped

If there is any demand, please contact the retail store customer service.

Once it’s gone, it may take a long time. :weary:

Then last month we got some mysterious Samsung 18650 24S 2400mah 30A and 24R 2400mah 20A . But it’s sold out. Contact the wholesaler if you need to buy it.
