The BLF GT70 "Giggle Monster" is here! 7,500lumens, 1,500m throw! Group buy Closed!

That’s the one I mentioned earlier. I received it just the other day. I plan to install it in the next couple of days. I don’t think there’s any way to know for sure what the color tint is but I’ll tell you if I see any green in it.

Do you plan to dedome this, or have you ordered a dedomed one?

Thanks a lot.

Opening flashlight, (reflector without fingerprints, dust…), removing, reflowing, mounting, centering an new LED, if first one is green, is about some hours work for me, I´m doing this not so often…
so it would be better for me to know, what result could be.

Whitwallshot in “green” is no problem for me, but I like warmer tint (more yellow or red) in nature…

This is going in an L6, dome is staying on.

I bought this LED from Mouser a few months ago and it was too green for me, so I immediately replaced it with a 1D.

Which led do you mean? There is no link

So I will have another tint shift with dedoming…
I think I´ll order some more LEDs, dedomed for testing…
another USD50 more… ;).

Maybe these:
Cree XHP70.2 P2 5700K on DTP MCPCB (5700K)
Cree XHP70.2 P2 1A on DTP MCPCB (???K)
and this for the cold days with warming tint:
Cree XHP70.2 P2 4000K on DTP MCPCB (4000K)

Kaidomain have this with 6000K:

What are you talking about? Did I miss part of the conversation?

I want a NW tint after dedoming myself or buying one LED from MTN already dedomed…

Sorry for confusion…

Referred to the LED we were talking about, BP20E2

Thanks for that info, but it is not clear, if mouser sells same colour bin like MTNelectronics.

Or have I missed some infos about order code?
Oder code:
XHP70B-00-0000-0D0BP20E2 does not say anything about colour bin (tint)
This is an output bin P2 and a CRI 70.

So your saying the one you bought at Mouser is the same exact one that MTN Electronics is selling? How do you know this? I can’t find much info on Richards led.

I asked richard for order code. Order code of his LED, it´s this:
XHP70B-00-0000-0D0BP20E2

I think LEDtec means, that mouser order code was the same (XHP70B-00-0000-0D0BP20E2)

But this is no information about colour bin (tint)…

Thank you very much Jason, for this info!
This list is cool.

I just wanted to be sure, not to buy a wrong item…
If all XHP70.2s look the same, I’m on the safe side…

Not all LED’s look the same. I have seen differences in the LED in the same reel and have noticed large differences when buying the same model from different suppliers.

Yep! The only 70.2 I seen called out by tint is the 1A and they vary alot also, just check them out under a UV light, sometimes the 4 dies don’t even match…each other… it’s crazy!

Is the group buy for the GT 70.2 still open ? What’s the group buy price now ? $220 shipping included ? Are reflectors and lenses offered (if i’m not too late to the party I may want a few spare parts) ?

It is still open but I think I will be sending the final email list to lumintop later today, at which time the sign up form will close and you will have to PM me directly for the order information until they end the group buy officially.

The conversion kits are ready but they will not be offering the reflectors or lenses.

I will update the op once I get final confirmation but I just closed the google form and sent the final list of emails to lumintop. So I would expect them to start sending out the emails for the NW versions in the next day or 2. Everyone will be getting these emails as it is impossible to keep track of who ordered what.

The LED’s are supposed to arrive this week I think and they should start packing them next week. They should be going out the door by the end of the month at the latest if all goes well (very possibly next week if the LED’s show up on time).

The conversion kits are also available along with cell carriers.

Anyone that wants to sign up from now on will need to contact me for the order details. Just send me a PM and I will copy/paste the email to you. (if you already signed up using the form, please wait a few days as you should get an email

TA,

Is it safe to ASSume the battery carriers that are going to be availabe with the conversion kits would the modified ones with the thicker metal parts in them that the new lights are shipping with?

Yes, this is my assumption as well.
