No, but I’ve asked if a matching diffuser can be made as an extra item to add on when purchasing the light. Specifically, a diffuser wand modeled after the Olight TW1 or TW10.

I haven’t heard any confirmation about it yet, but I’m hoping it’ll happen. Because I want to use the FW3A as a candle too.

Always one step ahead Well, let’s see if Lumintop says something about that! It would be a nice extra giving the features of the flashlight!
They have it done for the Tool AA, a small “luminescent” diffuser, so maybe they embrace a similar idea for this new one as well!!

I thought this was known. Due to the unique battery tube length and design, you have a smaller than normal range of batteries that fit. Maybe we will need to see if the latest prototype can fit them to give confirmation.

will an unprotected Samsung 30Q or a Sony US18650VTC6 be good to provide the “max” power?
How about the Sanyo NCR18650GA, will they be good enough?

Any decent cell should work, though higher-amp cells like the 30Q and VTC6/VTC5 should make turbo a little brighter. On regulated modes, the highest output is only 3 amps, so most cells should be fine most of the time.

This light isn’t optimized for maximum turbo performance. The heat sink isn’t massive, the springs aren’t fancy low-resistance alloys, the wires aren’t extra-thick, etc… It’s not particularly hot-rodded.

The main thing is to make sure the cell is small enough, so probably an unprotected battery.

Like I said. It may not be confirmed. Maybe a particular short protected cell will fit? ToyKeeper will have to say for sure. I’ve just always thought it was unprotected only.

Unprotected only. The front and back half can’t screw together far enough to work when a protected cell is used.

The NFD25 is flat, designed to spread out the beam. So, not the right category of product.

The NDF25 is a cone, and it technically fits, but it’s not a good fit and not very useful as a diffuser cone either. It’s basically transparent, doesn’t emit light very evenly, and does weird things to the tint.

There’s also a stretchy silicone one, but it’s difficult to put on, it isn’t opaque enough, and it looks awkwardly like a stubby condom.

So I’m still looking for a diffuser cone which fits well and is opaque.
