No need to flash the driver I linked from Ali, the driver has a settable modes with the bridges. All four bridged one mode (high).
.
The amc7135 in the datasheet list the working voltage as minium 2.7v, that doesn’t mean it wont work lower. It just means ADDtek specs all amc7135’s to work correctly at 2.7v. I have the exact driver you linked. I tested it with a DPS5015 and a XML, the light became dim at below 2.5v and kept getting dimer until 2.25v at that point the led was just barely glowing. At 2.5v just guessing, looked like maybe 5 to 10 lumens.
I don’t know where the amc7135 quits working but its definitely lower than 2.25v.
.
Removing the diode and using a jumper supposed to gain a few millivolts back also, I tested mine with the diode on.
Either way, get the 4×7135 version and set it to single mode (mode group 12) for your family to use; you can always choose a different mode group in future if you want to.
Double tap to activate strobe.
Steps down from High to Med after 3 min.

No mode memory. Always starts in High.
Alum alloy body. IPX-8.
O-ring behind the lens glows in the dark.
No noticeable PWM (to me).
This is the flashlight that I carry every day in a belt pouch, and use as an inspection light. I like it because it has no mode memory and always comes up in High.
EDIT: There was a 20% off coupon for this flashlight when I first saw this listing - now it is gone. The current price is $16.80. The price has to go down to around $10 for this to be a good deal IMHO. Last June I purchased one for $9.79 during a Lightening Deal that gave 20% off plus a 20% coupon.
Please note that if this flashlight is left off ≥ 3, sec then it comes up in High. Otherwise, if left off for < 3 sec, it comes on in the next mode. Therefore, if you click this flashlight On and Off rapidly, it will appear that it has Next Mode memory.
H, M, L and ML
.
Not my cup of tea. I will not buy anymore thorfire lights for this reason. I prefer ML, L, M and H.
I hate to be blinded upon first click of a EDC flashlight.
But the High-mode-first may work to your advantage outdoors, or when you want to see something in a light-absorbing-environment (like in a large room or around machinery) quickly. This is the only light in my current AA/14500 collection that always comes up in High. For this reason, it is one of my favorites.
EDIT: My Sofirn SF10 also comes up in High, but I don't use it much because of the noticeable PWM.
Or get the Sofirn SF14, Lumintop Tool AA, Enogear Stainless AA/14500, UltraTac A1, Jaxman E3, or Fenix E12. These are all solid flashlights that always start out in Low. But they are part of my collection so they have (1) no mode memory and (2) tail switches. There are numerous more AA/14500 flashlights that have memory and/or side switches - and start out in Low.
there’s actually a better deal now on Zanflare F1, 20% off coupon comes to $14.50. My previous attempt at ordering one failed when they sent me a notification that the package was damaged and could not be delivered, so they gave me a refund went to reorder it and saved another $1 with current coupon, a bucks a buck was annoying but turned out ok
