Uh, sorry, I’m guilty of that.
I am not super patient, in part due to such a short memory… I know I am waiting on Amazon to get these and I’m on that list, but I also ordered one from AliExpress without being on the AliExpress list. Sorry if that throws a wrench in the works. I got excited about possibilities when ordered parts from Neven and , well, wanted to make sure I had one coming in case I forgot to order one from Amazon. 
I doubt that it matters a bit. It seems like Sofirn is not in a hurry to make an end to this gb, they even have not sold that many via aliexpress yet, and I’m sure they still have some margin on the gb price, every light sold is advantageous for them.
Maybe they aren’t checking the BLF list.
I think the Amazon US will sell out as we already have over 50 people signed up.

Dale, any preview on what you have planned with those new parts? I like the idea of that 4040/5050 board but without a battery carrier and without 4040 centering rings it almost seems like more trouble than it’s worth until one of those things changes.
With a good reamer and some endurance, and a bit less skin on your fingers afterwards you can ream the stock centerpieces to 4040 size.
Nope… have your foot on the gas & be ready to pop the clutch when it happens though.
Or I guess, in this case; being fast at signing in to Amazon & clicking the mouse might be more appropiate………

I change the bore on centering rings all the time, no sweat there. Was figuring on either the LH351D or maybe SST-40’s. I don’t usually worry about changing battery carriers around and such, if I wanted to use 6V emitters I’d simply stack 18350’s in there and have at it.
Might actually simply flash Anduril and leave it be, or put in the 80CRI 5000K LH351D’s for color. I’ve got all kinds of max power lights, after all. lol

Just noticed another difference with the BLF Q8, when removing battery contact, the switch led fades out instead of stopping immediately. The light must have battery contact for half a minute to show this. There must be some capacitance somewhere that is not in the BLF-Q8. Time to look at the driver (but not today).

I purchased a 2nd set of VTC6 in anticipation of delivery. My 1st set of VTC6 for BLF Q8 are charged and ready for side by side comparison.
Looks like you’ll be the second person here to receive the Sofirn Q8.
My order, as of last tracking update yesterday, is still in GuangZhou, “air transport” (ie. just about to leave China).
Regarding the Sofirn Q8, did they still use NarsilM v1.0? Or have they updated to at least NarsilM v1.2?
Strobe modes (not that I use them much though) are a lot more difficult to use on NarsilM v1.0.
They updated it to V1.2.
