In for one. Thanks freeme! :+1:

So I received my MR30 today. My verdict:

The timed stepped down is ideal because it is a compact light. Feels the same in hand as my Wuben TO46R and only slightly thicker than my BLF A6. Just over a minute on turbo makes the head quite hot. You can just bump it straight back into turbo if you wish. And it’s obviously very bright so to me a timed stepped down is the logical way to go with a light this compact.

It has a nice tint for a CW emitter but I will be trying to get the bezel loose to see of an emitter swap is possible. The three main brightness modes are well spaced for missioning around in the bush or around the house. Just don’t understand why they didn’t add a moonlight mode like the Rofis R1, R2 and R3. Hmmm.

The power button is soft rubbery and easy to locate. They also added a spare USB charging port cover. The anodising looks and feels great. It seems to be a great quality all round light. Thank you freeme for this great deal!

Okay, so an emitter swap was easy. I took a pipe wrench around the flat sides to grip the light and then water pump pliers to loosen the bezel. I did use 3mm rubber strips in between to avoid scratches and to grip the light. The bezel is glued it came loose easily. It’s 20mm mcpcb and it’s centered by the reflector only.

I swapped in a XHP35 HI 5000K D4 from Mountain Electronics. The beam is excellent…
