Then received auto message “We are celebrating our Mid-Autumn Festival from Sept.24th to Sept.25th. For this reason, we may not be able to reply to your messages as fast as usual”
Hope that’s why delay orders,but…
I tried to cancel one order and a popup message said I can’t, then I saw a message in the contact page that said “Due to the Mid-Autumn Festival, there is a delay to reply from Sept,24 to 25th” well that’s nice but they did ship one item I purchased along with a cometa within 3 hours of the purchase, the short tube for the Lumintop GT but the cometa is still in processing,
We shall see I guess… and I did know better but went ahead and ordered a few of these lights anyhow, so my fault I guess.
They sure have a lot of holidays.

Except this Cometa was a BG sponsored light. You weren’t around a few years ago, but Neal used to work for them and was the lead contact for this light build. He got Manker involved in ripping the design from Jaxman, and Banggood involved buying the lenses under false pretense from Jaxman to get the production run going. Turned into a huge fiasco with Neal getting fired, Jaxman, BG, and Manker not talking to each other to this day.
So, don’t think for a moment that BG is under-selling anyone with this Cometa. If you’re going to feel bad about anything, feel bad for Jaxman who was used as a pawn in this whole thing, and buy the original Jaxman Z1
Yep if you look through the old thread you will see me and manker in a heated argument cause i called them out on ripping of people/companies designs. I have never bought or reviewed a manker branded light.
I use to have an opinion but it gets me in trouble lol
To add to the drama of the Cometa half of the people from CPF italy went MIA before the issues where fixed lol. Still to this day have not logged on. They where admins on CPF italy i think.
All these talks reminds me of the OldLumen’s last project that fizzled out. As I recall this was caused by either Neal bailed out or got fired. Can anybody set the record straight why the project got fizzled out?
Count yourself lucky. Quite a few people have issues with them refusing to refund or replace. My example was a cracked optical lens. I purchase insurance ” at sale point ” of transaction for safety. Those ” rip offs ” refused to refund or replace.
Moral of story is you will not play a great tune when you get tossed under the truck. You can defend BG all you want but until you are burned you will see how ” SHADY ” they are.
I have placed two orders some days ago. One with the Cometa that is being sold with the 26650 battery (incl. the gifted 18650s) and one with the Cometa that comes without any batteries. Both orders were indicated with "ships in 24 hours". Until now the first order has been shifted to "backorder" while the second order (without battery) is still being processed after more than 48 hours. Both orders show the "apply refund" button but I am unwilling to request a refund as both Cometas are on stock all the time and I don't understand what the problem is to ship at least one of them.
