^ This and…any clue when this deal might happen? I’ll have to organize my wallet very strickly for the next months and as the “winter is coming”, I’d be glad to know if a data and :money_mouth_face: has been thought about :innocent:
[3.09, 16:40] What is your comment of TO50R after you knew some details?
[3.09, 16:41] Really?
[3.09, 16:42] I think that it is your project especially for my needs
[3.09, 16:44] But if it is not your project, this flashlight is a something that should appear in 2020
[3.09, 16:47] I guess, in 2019
[17.09, 17:29] May I know, what are you planning next after T70?
[17.09, 17:46] P45R or E05
This thread is the main source of information for this light. If you want to know something, ask here. I’ll try to answer.
We had a slight delay caused by my requirement of a low enough lowest (moon) mode. Wuben engineers are very professional and didn’t agree on “cheating” with PWM, but decided to change the hardware to get a real low mode. This will require a bit more space, so the square buttons from the 1st drafts are back in the latest plan.
The current schedule is to have samples ready in mid-October. If everything goes like in (good ) movies, we’ll have a GB in December and hopefully start shipping lights around the new year.
I am extremely interested in the TO50R. I bought a few TO10 and TO46 because of how easy it is to swap in a noctigon triple board. The only thing I don’t like about it is the buttons are black and it is so difficult to find in low light. Also I would hope the power button can be placed at the bottom. With a 21700 tube size, it should be very easy to clear the tail switch without needing any cutouts for your thumb to preserve the tail standing ability.
Thought, but a bit late perhaps:
Did they consider the SST-20 too?
Since it’s gonna be around 2000 lumen, might as well use smaller die LEDs to get some throw ot of that tiny quad set up.
LH351 has very large die and reports tell me they are possibly not too well suited for this kind of optic…
LH351D works very well in a tripple setup in my TO10R / TO46R, so that was an obvious choice for this light. I think also maukka modded some of his lights with LH351D and was happy with the results…
I should get the 1st samples very soon, so I’ll comment on the real-life suitability after that.
