The hot spot is very bright and noticeable. There is still floody spill but it’s substantially dimmer compared to the hot spot. The Q8 reflector is good about creating a nice hotspot with any LED really but these XP-L HI really focus everything right in a pretty dense/bright spot
My guess is logistics considerations (both timing and economics). They may not have had enough lights close enough to you (or me).
I ordered mine yesterday night. The earliest they could get it to me, at any price, is Wednesday, if I pick it up at a locker near one of their local delivery hubs, and Thursday if I want it home delivered.
This isn’t typical. I’ve had stuff with next day delivery come from their distribution center out side of Las Vegas leave the morning after I ordered it and get dropped at my doorstep that afternoon.
It’s irritating though, and your case is extreme enough that they should do something to make good.
I’ve had very good results normally whenever there was a problem.
I feel that they should have offered to upgrade the shipping.
Oh well, I have two of the BLF models, which are serving me fine.
I played ball with a lawyer once upon a time, on the way in to the stadium one day I met him going in and asked how things were…his response was “Some days you get the bear, some days the bear gets you!”
Sometimes I like to make anagrams of people’s names, rearranging the letters to see what else they can spell. Last time I did that I found a bunch, but two anagrams in particular made for good pseudonyms, depending on how her day is going:
Anna’s having oatmeal.
Oatmeal’s having Anna.
Unfortunately, she’s now going on a solid week of being bested by oatmeal. I hope that turns around soon.
