The MS12 has sidelights that are probably 20 lumens at their lowest setting and Turbo can run for over 5 minutes indoors!
I’ll probably wait for Imalent to hit 80k.
I have not heard anyone suggest that the handle was made out of plastic. Only the actual fan itself is made of plastic, everything else should be metal.
Imalent could decide to put also a fan in a handle, with better results than Acebeam,as the pumped air would blow direct onto the special cooling heatsink which there is in the head.
Oh i thought it was the other way around, that “thing” is gonna blow the hot air out… then it means hot air will blow in your face direction like a hair dryer ? hm…
well talk about clumsy light then, but if u want hold it normally then? the button is on the side the hot air is supposed to come out right or do they expect everyone to use the light by carry it like a suitcase seems weird to me.
Obviously the whole handle thing was a last minute redesign.
Remember that hot air does not come out of the light because it doesn’t appear to go into it. It just blows on one side of it. I doubt you will feel any hot air on your hand.
cant be right if the head has no holes, the hot air must exit somehow… i dont get it they also dont post more pics on their website also which is weird since the thing is official now anyways…
I don’t think it needs any holes if the external heatsink fins are blown with external fan. The MCPCB in the head will have full contact with the external heatsink.
It would be great if they routed the air through the inside of the light. They could have it contact so much more surface area and be really efficient.
At this point in time it looks like they abandoned the integrated active cooling, like Olight did with the X9, and just added a fan to the outside.
I’m sure we will see new pics soon we just have to be patient.
