Massive fraud on 18650s in the Littokala Aliexpress stores!

I don’t think there is any way to tell what (if any) is the actual Liitokala website or aliexpress store. Many here have reported problems with all of the aliexpress stores, and anyone can set up a website.

Nope. Well, maybe they _sell _fakes, but they are genuine.

Awhile back, these two + poles were shown on the same product page.

‘Pig in a poke’ means I do not yet know what are how good these rewraps are.
Can’t help wondering if my chances are better buying here or Elsa’s Big Smile Liitokala Office Store?

Barkuti, are you kidding me? I diligently pasted the given name of this store. That’s it.
The name presented on that website is, in fact, LiitoKala Official Flagship Store.
Just like that. Plain as day. I won’t bother clicking your tantrum links, because the name LiitoKala Official Flagship Store will still exist. And they will still be rewrapping cells made elsewhere.
And some of these will be fakes.

How would I know what is legally official scrolling around in AliExpress?

Let me get this straight, Barkuti, how would you know what is legally official scrolling around in AliExpress? I like your on point flashlight knowledge, but why waste our time with your screeds.

cheers

Cheers :-)

Calm down two¢¢ I have not been gross to you at all, not a single dime. I just presented some facts. You can open the official chinese LiitoKala website and go check the only store linked down there is 217753. If for any reason you don't like the trustworthy information I provide don't read it or solve your own issues, please.

The fact that there are lots of “LietoKala Official Faketore Stores” :-D (pun intended) is just consecuence that the AliExpress system gives sellers the right to use any store name they wish and also they can change their store name anytime. This is something I know because I started buying cells from store number 1721160 whose current name is “liitokala 0fficial Store”, where the O is ;-) a 0. This store was previously known as “AM battery Store” and even before that they called themselves “Colaier Direct Sales Store”.

Cheers ^:)

Just FYI, you should store LiIon batteries at 3.4 - 3.6 Volts.
Even lower than that is better than storing them fully charged or close to fully charged.
Early this year could be up to 10 months…
Still, they shouldn’t have discharged as deep as yours did, of course.

I’m calm, Barkuti. You should calm down. And I have not been gross to you a single dime.

My presented facts remain.

You challenged me to tell why I think there’s an ‘official’ AliExpress LiitoKala store when I simply pasted their name? Then you immediately say you know there IS a single AliExpress store linked in their official site.

So I shouldn’t think there’s an ‘official’ website (which I didn’t), and you think there is.
Sounds just like ‘issues.’

And, Wow! So you have determined there are bogus sites in AliExpress … I wish I had mentioned that.
I may subscribe to Barkuti trustworthy information, issues and all.

cheers

UPDATE 2!!!

DO NOT BUY ANY 18650s from the Liitokala store, ALL OF THEM!

THEY HAVE CHANGED THEIR NAMES FROM SAMSUNG 30Q TO LIITOKALA 30Q

This means, to be able not to offer refunds, they changed the cells’ name from OEMs to their own!

DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY MONEY!

Also, on post #283:

User ActiveAI has tested the FAKE LIITOKALA 30Qs to have 2x the internal resistance than the legitimate ones. This means the cells have been swapped with Panasonic NCR18650PFs/LG MG1s, which have 3Ah of capacity, but are only rated up to 10A continuous compared to the 30Qs 15-20A!

That means they sold an inferior cell to us!

Do not give them money. We need to punish them!

I hear you BlueSwordM. I NOR 500mA discharge tested 4 of those and got ≈2950mAh, with good consistency. Later I DC IR tested two of them the best I could with some handy help from a friend. Got 40.2mΩ and 41.4mΩ, 40.8mΩ average of two cells. The top looks like LG, but I can't say for sure if they are LG MG1. LG MG1 are not 3000mAh rated.

Cheers ^:)

I hear you guys……

Any good source then? Sunway Store as per your recommendation?

Need to get some VTC6s.

This one?

Although,i think it s kind of “cheating”,Liitokala’s batteries are cheap and not bad. They use good quality chinese batteries,May be thier batteries are the best in aliexpress. :person_facepalming:

It’s a clear scam. They issue Chinese batteries for the original Samsung, Sony, Panasonic etc. No one has a problem with Chinese batteries if they are written that they are Chinese batteries. But when they write the original Samsung and they are Chinese, it’s a scam. The batteries do not have to be bad, but they give them something they are not. Quietly I buy good Chinese batteries, but do not lie, they are branded Samsung, Sony, Panasonic etc.

@2100, I can fully recommend the Sunway store.

I’ve ordered 6x30Qs from them if I remember well, and they all tested to have 3000mAh capacities and internal resistance similar to other real 30Qs.

Thus, I have no problem recommending them.

@59, that’s not the problem. Chinese cells are actually quite good these days. Just don’t sell me a 3000mAh 10A cell as a 3000mAh 15A Samsung 30Q.

Great, thanks BlueSwordM.

The “problem” lies with lies and unidentified OEM products. They fake 1st OEM (Samsung, Panasonic, etc) cell wraps from Samsung, Panasonic, LG, etc. This is misleading. There's no better wrap than an OEM wrap. Changing the cell wrap for a fake one or one of these awful “IMR” wraps makes identifying the actual cell OEM harder. We need to identify these chinese OEM cells for proper testing. The fears of chinese marketeers like LiitoKala in this regards are preventing proper customer product identification via OEM model numbers and factory codes. This is bad, chinese battery OEMs cannot stand a chance to be seen as an alternative to the big brands here as we cannot properly identify the shite we are buying, with their accomplice fake wrap cell retailers deceiving proper customers. We need product datasheets and good reviews.

Cheers ^:)

So ture,agree with you :+1:
actually i hate this behaviour too, there are no real batteries in aliexpress.

Now that’s funny … but buddy fluttering vis hands and screaming
“DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY MONEY!”

Barkuti, you are quick to scorn us for thinking store 133859 is legitimate. You mentioned ‘all those’, but chose to pick a fight with me.

You try to convince us of your great knowledge that only store 217753 is real. Seems scrolling around some ‘official’ AlieExpress site linked you to the one-and-only Liitokala store. That is your ‘trustworthy information’ suitable for trolling.

I’m going to go with Liitokala English home-site link to their store 133859
Y’know, the one they call LiitoKala Official Flagship Store. They have a right to call it whatever they want. Too bad that upsets you.

I’m sure you will not admit being wrong.

Today, I received my blue-wrapped 26650 cells from AlieExpress store 133859.
I’m charging them, and intend to try a couple out in my Cometa tonight.

Newb here.

Need help

too many options.

need 8 18650 and a charger.

Just got my GT70 yesterday, thought it would take a month. I don’t need the absolute best deal ever and don’t want to wait a month to try this thing out.

If anyone can shoot me a link PM or reply to this I would love you forever. Not trying to hijack thread.

Sorry forgot I am in the USA have prime if there is anything good on amazon, don’t mind buying on ebay, gear best or what not.

Maybe a pack of button top Samsung 30Q cells from Liion Wholesale Batteries?

With regards to charger the Gyrfalcon All-88 is very appealing, though you can also do with one or two cheaper 4-bay units.

Cheers ^:)

30q Samsung, Sony vtc6, LG makes a couple high amp high cap also. You cant go wrong with any of these options. Just get the 30q’s with button tops like the other member mentioned.

TY I dragged my feet a bit in case someone offered up an alternative. Finally put my order in, TY for your help.
