What did you get for IR on the Sofirn supplied battery Zozz?

Do you have a clamp meter?

I need to check but if I remember correct it was around 40 mOhms

This one. Imgur: The magic of the Internet

turn the switch to the 10A position. 180° from this. And plug the red wire to the empty hole next to 10A position. Put the red probe to tube edge and the black to battery and then turn the flashlight into turbo and read the numbers.
BTW with long wires you will reading low numbers because at over 4-5A the wires act as a resistance in the circuit. So the best way to measure high power flashlights is a clamp meter.

Ok thanks…i prob wont do it then.

I replaced the original MCPCB of my C8F 21700, with one I had purchased a few months ago from Sofirn on which I put 3x XP-L2 (UU640H) ,
Now I get almost 3300 lumens(@CRI90) , and almost 13A at the tailcap.

my c8f 21700 also has a brightness climb, but it does not bother me is a bit like HID

with the sofirn 21700 battery, I measured about 2,900 lumens

I also observed that the maximum power at the top of the ramp is a bit higher than the turbo with a double click

If you are interested in measuring amp loads I would recommend a meter like the UNI-T UT210E for about $25-$30. Measuring the amp draw is a good way for people to compare outputs.

Nowadays we have homemade lumen tubes and integrating spheres to measure actual lumens.

Where you see ’em for that little? Amazon has ’em for 45, AX same, GB 54(!), nothing below 40.

I was meaning to get a clampmeter that could handle DCA, and this one seems to be pretty popular here, so…

M4DM4X has coupon code for it from banggood.

Kewl, tnx!

We love it!

We can use that debit card in Brainsick’s picture to buy new clamp meters for everyone. 12345678900000

I checked the IR in a miboxxer C8 and in an Opus BT-C100.
The C8 measured 34 mOhms and the Opus measured 23 mOhms.

Thanks Zozz, my SKY RC3000 measured 24 mOhms.

This is my result (lowest IR achieved after rotating the batteries and pressing the batt-IR check several times)

Another thing I love about my Sofirn C8F 21700 is that it can run the cheap Tuofeng 18650 2600 mAh and still be very bright. The brightness with the Tuofeng batteries still reminds me of the Olight SR90 in terms of lighting up a room brightness.

Sofirn is number one for me. :money_mouth_face: Solid budgetlight. Above and beyond. :+1:
