Oh, what fun to pay extra for shipping (USA Express), and not get a tracking number.
First order, free, came with a tracking number.
Second order, paid almost 4bux extra (was supposed to have the cells, so wanted fewer complications with “better” shipping), and no tracking number.
I have a back’n’forth in email, which is pretty much like “blah blah blah Ginger blah blah Ginger blah blah blah blah Ginger”.
Fun… Enough to turn anyone off ordering stuff for a while.

It still is, fortunately only the lip is broken.
Once it’s installed in the head I can’t see any defect and it doesn’t affect the beam…

I ordered one (without batteries) on 9/24. After a bunch of back and forth, including 18-24 hours when it was supposedly backordered, despite them showing multiple pieces in stock, I got a notification it had shipped on ~9/29/. It took until ~10/5 for a tracking number to show up.
Their site says there is no tracking data, but checking the number on USPS shows that the label was printed on 9/29 in SLC. It’s been like that for at least a week. Current ETA, according to Bangood’s site is 10/28, which is probably two weeks later than what I’d originally been led to believe.
Oh well. I’ll give it more time.
In the meantime I ordered another. There were three in stock when I ordered & two after. Now my order info is showing backordered. But the site says there are three units in stock.
I’ve never had anything close to this much hinkyness from Banggood before, at least not at this stage. I’ve had things take forever to get here. I’ve had them ship the wrong thing. I’ve had them be incredibly reluctant to make (sufficiently) good on their mistakes or product problems. This though, this is new to me.
I ordered W/battery on 9/20, I cancelled the order a couple days later once I got the cancel button. They had already shipped the 2 free 18650s which haven’t shown up. Then I got a notice they had shipped my order on 10/9. I guess I’ll take a look at it and decide iffn I want to mess with it or flip it. I’ll no doubt keep the 26650 iffn it’s in there.
Be careful with the lens, lucky for me I dropped mine from about 5mm height where it already sat on my table, when open the bezel, make sure the lens is facing down so that it doesn’t drop out of the bezel. The lens is loose inside and not holding itself on the bezel.
I turned up the heat allowance and now the driver-side anti-short ring is pretzled. It'll still do the job but it's loose now. I'm going to add some kapton tape just for kicks.
The main reasons I bought this flash in multiple quantities is for the AR glass lens, the short 26650 tube, the twist zoom, the pocket rocketability and of course the great BLF price.
But must of all I bought it to piss off TOM TOM. :laughing:
I really do not know what BG is playing. They still sell the light China warehouse but my order switched to backorder yesterday.
Also i had to contact the support for some questions in the last two month (pre sales product information). The answeres i got were not the answeres to my question. Not even close! If i had asked my postdelivery guy the questions i would have gotten a answere that is more usefull! It was always bad but not this bad!

Mine also back order even though it is still in stock status now. I asked CS and was told it is in processing. No proper direct answer, are those CS actually AI robots?
It appears the ordering process on this one is kinda like a ‘box of chocolates’… you never know what your gonna get. Or when your gonna “get” anyway.

BTW: Mine is still stuck in Xiamen, China for more than one week.
Mine is shipped. So it took about 48 hours from processing to back order to shipped. Finger crossed.
