I might pick up one of these from Amazon, since they fit so good and have protection.
I cant even get my cap on mine…its so tight…
It was a struggle for me as well, a couple of pull tabs would’ve been helpful. As much trouble it was to get the cover on, I’m not sure it’ll get used as much as it should. Does anyone make a hard cover or maybe we can fashion one out of a PVC endcap from home depot?

For anyone who wants a perfect fitting ’lens cap’, if you have a WalMart close by; purchase a Large size of the Great Value Oats.
The plastic top is a perfect fit to make a great ‘lens cap’ for the GT. :+1:
It is a secure fit too, it stays on quite well.
Plus you get some good eating, healthy oats for breakfast….

I received my GT70 last night and when I pulled it out of the package there was definitely a giggle. This is my first time seeing the gt host and it’s amazing quality, thanks for all the hard work on this one fellas. I’ll be posting some beam shots of this bad boy this weekend.

Ok, I just got confirmation that the GT70 and conversion kits have been shipped out as of today!
The tracking numbers will be next week at the earliest before they are ready but they are on the way.
Picked up a CW, batteries, strap, and cover today.

I am impressed by the Lumintop BLF GT70. I had the opportunity to try out a couple of different CREE XHP70.2 LED flashlights. They were all too floody for my tastes. This is a floody LED. Even in a 70mm smooth reflector, the beam pattern was a triangular flood. Finally, with the beast-size of the BLF GT reflector, the beam pattern has been tamed to that of the Olight SR90. I love it! Thick straight beam out as far as the eye can see, and more. Just like the way the old Olight SR90 was.

GT70, batteries, lens cover and CW conversion kit recieved today. Batteries are charging. Gonna piss off the neighbors tonight.
Is there a video that exists on how to install the conversion kit? I thought I had seen one that someone made with step by step instructions but I may be wrong.
I don’t know if there is, I haven’t checked, but it should be straightforward, I can try making a video or at the very least an imgur guide when my kit finally arrives.
Hearing how many people have difficulties opening their GT’s, I’m glad I cracked mine open already and didn’t tightly reassemble it. Can’t wait to get my conversion kit!
VOB made a video a few months ago of the prototype kit install. You don’t have the reflow the LED like that video but it should show the rest of the steps.
Did the driver include a switch attached to it? I asked for them to include it but it was never clear if they were able to or not.
