Yesterday I found these videos from the new RovyVon Flashlight!
Quite different from what we are used to (well, at least it is not a tube flashlights, and reminds of CRX Stratis Lumina creation ) :+1:

Here are the Videos:

And here is where we can find some more information (the link is from one of the videos “description” and leads to a pre-order/informative page):

Long press for off :person_facepalming: ,nice light though.

Yeah, that one of the few things that bugs me about it (and the XP-G3, of course)!…
But other than that, this seems to be a nice flashlight! A bit “expensive” (for my wallet), but it is a new thing and for what I’ve been seeing, RovyVon delivers great quality on their flashlights, with “innovative” design !

Let’s see how it will be received by the “community”

I am quite tempted. Once you include the $12 shipping it makes just as much sense to order it from Amazon UK. I will check my bank account and see if I can justify another pocket light

Eheh, I guess I’ll need to check mine as well, but right now I will be probably denied to get one! :money_mouth_face:
Other triples will be my priority, if you know what I mean

BUT, I do like this shape, seems to feel/fit nicely in a pocket or jacket! It’s not that “I’m happy to see you  ” sensation on the jeans ! LOL

It will be around for a while, though, so my bank may “accept” my “need” for another light later :+1:

reminds me a of tazer or stun gun

Ahah, true! But fortunately this will only “taser” our eyes :sunglasses:

Hmmmmm. Really liking the shape

XP-G3 and long press for off, no thanks.

What’s wrong with XP-G3?

XP-G3 with TIR is OK

I’m not really looking for “OK” in a $70 flashlight when we have such an amazing selection of high CRI options available now. However, they have confirmed a 219C version will be coming a couple weeks after the XP-G3 is released. Long press for off is still cancer :confounded:

I so much prefer long press off to long press on……

I have 3 lights with XP-G3. One with TIR and 2 without. All 3, (to me), have great tints. CW bordering on NW and no green or blue.

I’m with the majority here. Longer press on than off to avoid accidental activation when carrying. But to each their own!

Hum, I have the Wuben TO10R with XP-G3 (CW, 70 CRI or so) and the Wuben TO46R with XP-G3 (NW, 90 CRI) and both have a major tint shift (towards green).
Only way to fix both was to put some DC-Fix and other kind of diffuser, because even outdoor it was very noticeable that annoying shift (mostly on the TO10R) ! So NW XPL-HI, for example, would be better.

But, to each, its own! About the long presses…if possible, none! But I don’t like long press for ON.
In a urgency, I prefer to have it ready to turn ON!

For this RovyVon, I would prefer not to have the long press; a switch to turn ON and another to change modes would be good, then!

Interesting. I’m very susceptible to ANY green or blue tints in any of my lights but I must have won the lottery because none of mine have any.

I actually prefer full on CW without a hint of blue or green and these XPG-G3 lights have none of that. I’m actually very pleased with my 2 RovyVon light tints with XPG-G3 emitters!

The top button is quick access for off no matter the mode the light is on, one click to turn the light off.

The top switch is an easy way to turn off the light, no long press.

That’s awesome. Since you are here, could you answer whether the light is glued shut? Also, would you consider any high CRI LEDs instead of Nichia 219C, like Samsung LH351D, Luminus SST-20-W, etc.?
