Led4power.com : LD-4 CC linear drivers, ILC-0/1 illuminated tailcaps, optics, MOSX, copper DTP MCPCBs...

I don't think there is one, probably simplest solution is to rotate 3535/XP centering ring.

Just ordered 3 of them

Apart from the LD4A, are there any alternative 2S (buck) drivers for tail clickies that would be appropriate for the new Osram-LED? So far, this one here looks okay but it cannot deliver the required 5 amps of current.

The best would be a buck driver (2.9V - 8.4V), e.g. in a Convoy L2 (short and long tube) running at full power over the entire voltage curve.

MTN buck driver. But it’s out of stock…

I'm not sure if this one is for tail clicky lights or e-switch lights. It's also quite expensive to get these things from the US to Germany (shipping and hassle with customs).

Contact to your neighbour Lexel

This type of driver is rare as a spare part. It’s probably easier if you just buy a used 2S light with buck driver (maybe a Fenix tk-35) and switch out the sense resistor to get a higher current.

For continuous operation I would go with 4A. I had problems after a while when driving a Black Flat at 4.5A for longer periods of time in a large host with very solid heatsinking.

The FX-35 driver in the Convoy L6 is a 5A 2S buck driver that’s also very, very cheap. I don’t know how well it works with 3V LEDs though. Normally it shouldn’t be a problem. It can be bought as a spare part from Convoy.

Look in the Convoy store on AliExpress.
There is a 3 mode buck driver there, and could well be resistor modded without heat problems to 4 - 4.5 Amperes.
It is a double PCB diver, but no parts on the bottom PCB.
I think it’s around $ 6.

Danke @ The_Driver!

Bedankt @ Jerommel!

Complex little driver! I just put a 6A LD-A4 in an Eagle Eye X6 host that came in today. I soldered two 20mm copper boards together for height, used a 35mm TIR with a deep narrow “cup” over an XP-L HI and connected these with 20 Ga Turnigy leads. Set up for 5A, with 4 levels and moon mode engaged it works pretty nicely.

The large TIR will show it as unique, the LD-A4 guarantee’s it.

Where did you buy the TIR for X6? can you give the link please? Thanks Dale.

I honestly have no idea. It was in my kit, appears to be new, was in the black plastic holder and I had to remove it to fit into the bezel of the X6 which was a little tricky. Works pretty neat…

Was it from Justin?

I have bins and bins of bits from Justin, as much or more than what I already had of my own. His stuff and my stuff together makes for a LOT of stuff! I can’t remember my own purchases, still finding things in his stuff that I didn’t know I had.

Y’all just can’t know, it’s like he’s here with me all the time. :frowning:

Bittersweet, at times. Uplifting in other moments. And so it goes…

Hahaahaaa thanks anyway Dale. Wonder if it’s one of the Kathod optics or not…

Straight, no spacer?

Its taken me awhile to remember where I used a similar optic. Justin sent me the optic. Cant remember the diameter but thought you may have used one in your mod.

I think that optic might be Ledil Iris, if it’s ~38mm. Doesn’t look like Khatod PL1672.

Edit: measured actual Ledil Iris optic at 35.0mm. 38mm includes the holder diameter.

I received the KW CSLNM1.TG leds today. I will do an output test one of these days (if maukka or Koef3 do not beat me to that  ), but for now I measured tint at 0 degrees, 30 degrees, 60 degrees.

0 degrees: 6100K on top of BBL, CRI 68
30degrees: 5800K creeping up above BBL, CRI 67
60degrees: 5300K going further up, CRI 65

WAIT! Dots? Are these some kinda micro-COB emitters or something? Won’t those tiny dark spots make it challenging to get max luminance in a thrower?
