Anyone receiving conversion kits yet?

I just had Vinh swap this KD 80CRI in my TC20vn and it came back ugly yellow looking like the LH351D and 219C 4000k. I took out the reflector and shined it against a wall and it was even rosier than my other 5A, 5D, E21A and 219B 4000k 9080 flashlights. It’s shocking how much the reflector can screw with the tint. I’m guessing it bumped up the DUV by at least 0.08. Otherwise, this emitter is super rosy and I think perfect for dedoming since that should bring it back to the BBL.

Don’t forget about the anti-reflection coating on the lens that also messes with the tint.

Interesting, I have noticed that the GT reflector tends to mix in the tint shift into the beam and make most LED’s more yellow then normal.

In the MT09R I really like these LED’s. If they didn’t have the XHP70.2 tint shift they would be almost the perfect tint.

I took out the lens but no difference. Not sure if it is AR lens or not though.

My conversion kit still shows “Waiting for Shipment.” If tracking numbers aren’t sent out by the 1st, I’ll be filing a PayPal dispute. The 1st will be 7 weeks since I ordered it. If the product isn’t ready, then don’t ask us to pay until it is ready. :expressionless:

I am very sorry for that, although I am not sure how to ordered the conversion kit 7 weeks ago? I thought the conversion kits were only listed for sale at the start of this month? Maybe I am thinking of the NW kits.

I know I asked them to not list the kits until they were ready for shipment but they did anyways. I just thought it was 3-4 weeks, not 7 weeks.

There will be no need for a paypal dispute, you can simply email Leo and he will take care of you.

That said, I got confirmation last week that they were all shipped out but tracking numbers would take longer then normal since they are going regular mail and not DHL.

I placed the order Sept 13th, which is when everyone on the list got the email with a link for payment.

I have a GT so I really want this conversion kit. I was stoked to hear about its development! I’ll buy one regardless… but constantly hearing “next week, next week, next week” and reasons why they don’t get shipped, or can’t get tracking is aggravating when they have held my money for almost 7 weeks now.

TA I know this is out of your control, and I greatly appreciate you coordinating this for all of us. I just wish Lumintop was a bit more honest with the readiness of the kits before asking everyone to pay up.

Yeah still waiting for any notice on my cw conversion I ordered in early sept. I’m it’ll get here eventuality.

I asked lumintop to get the tracking numbers sent out as quickly as possible. I am waiting on a reply now.

So even though you knew what you were getting into right from the start, and everybody has been absolutely up front about every aspect of what has been going on with the orders from the very beginning, and you have been told they have all shipped, now you decide to threaten to file a Paypal dispute if you don’t receive a tracking number?

He has a right to be upset after 7 weeks without any positive proof of the order moving forward. I am also upset that it has taken this long, I wanted all the GT70’s and conversion kits to be ready within ~2 weeks of them accepting payments. That is about the most I am ok with accepting money ahead of time.

Although I much prefer to only sell something after it is ready to ship out the door. Personally with my own selling I rarely accept money ahead of time.

I have asked that they get the tracking numbers updated as soon as possible.

That said, at this point I have every reason to believe that they have indeed been shipped and are on the way via normal china mail. So they should start showing up over the next week or 2 depending on your location.

My conversion kit is in my country. Paid on 14 of sept. And shipped on 15 of oct.

You won’t get tracking numbers from Lumintop until after you have your item. You will need to contact Leo for tracking numbers in advance of delivery. Squeeky wheel gets the tracking number.

Why would you think this? Maybe you are thinking about the lights? They ship DHL and can take just a few days to deliver. Tracking numbers usually take a week.

These conversion kits are sent through regular slower mail so shipping to the USA might take 2 to 3 weeks. We should get tracking numbers before they arrive.

I “think” this because that has been my experience. YMMV for everyone else’s experience. I realize the lights were shipped DHL so there was little time for notice (is that even true in this day and age?), but two weeks after I have possession of my light, Lumintoponline still shows my light purchase as “wait for shipping”. I received my tracking number for my EMS conversion kit shipment only after I emailed Leo. My kits shipped out on 18Oct, Lumintoponline still shows “wait for shipping”. One of the reasons I was willing to commit nearly $500 to this group buy (and I would still do it again, given the tremendous light the GT70 team put out!!) was the comment on post #2: “The sales of the lights will go directly through Lumintops store this time once the sale is active, no more having to mess with paypal transactions in various accounts. This should VASTLY improve the ordering process and mean everyone should get things like tracking numbers much more efficiently.” That is what my expectations were based on. I did not PM Yourrid my response because I thought others might profit who might be “afraid” to ask.

The tracking numbers take longer because the 3rd party shipper is the one who recieves them, then they have to send them to Lumintop. Then Lumintop can send them out to us.

I don’t know who these 3rd party shippers are or the complicated system they use to mail out packages in order to keep the shipping costs low. Different countries have different carriers and they may send tracking numbers back to the 3rd party at different times. How many employees do these 3rd party shippers have that than focus on transiting shipping numbers? I don’t even know how many employees Lumintop has that handle updating tracking numbers on their website. One person? 3 people? 10? I have no idea. If Lumintop notices a missing tracking number they have to contact the 3rd party shipper and they have to contact the carrier and the waiting game begins.

I guess my point is that the whole shipping and getting tracking numbers to us is not an easy and strait forward affair that we imagine in our minds. China’s shipping system is very complicated compared to the USA.

Last post on this. But cannot all of the reasons you mentioned be accomplished with one week? Is China so backward (rhetorical) that email and shared databases do not exist. With current technology, “waiting game” refers more to priority than capability.

No they can’t, as stated it takes quite some time for it to work its way down. Even buying from smaller shops such as Neal it can sometimes take him several days to even get the tracking sent to him. Now factor in a larger business that than has to go into its system and enter the tracking information for each order. (edited: thought you were someone else) lol Most pre-orders go this way NOT all of them but most of them have issues/complications, that is why I try to stay away from themselves as I have no patience lol . I made an order and got the light before I got tracking lol. It does stink big time, however this is common and happens all the time. I had pre-ordered a keyboard, suppose to take 6 weeks. It was 8 months before I got it, i had forgotten about it completely when it came in hahaha.

As Jason stated the way they ship is quite different than us in the States, it took me awhile to realize it and figure it out. Plus China Post/EMS takes FOREVER to get to the states, I think a slow boat is faster lol
