Zebralight sc700d 21700 XHP70.2 3000LM 90CRI

Does the rainbow still show up with the “Orange peel textured reflector”?

No.

The only thing that gets mostly better with XHP70.2s is CRI.

Higher CRI can mitigate some of the beam barf tint fest by making colors better in the hotspot.

Otherwise through, a Luxeon MZ 90CRI 6-12V(if it is available to order) would have been very good.

I like it. I’ve used my other Zebralights for years and they have been fantastic. I’m not all that interested in spending that much these days but I’d bet it’ll be a popular item.

I think all the SC62w lights were great. I had a convo with a ZL tech, and she said the light was discontinued because that particular emitter was no longer available. She said “trust me, we’d still be using it if it were”.

If I was forced to sell all my lights, this would certainly be the one I would hang on to.

I agree the SC 62W is a wonderful light!

I took the plunge on the 700 and bought a few extra batteries with it.

I remember taking the same plunge on a pair of S6330 and they proved to be worth it .

I hope ZL can pull it off. Please post some outdoor beamshots when you get it. Will be interesting to see.

Curious what the amp draw might be

I pre-ordered the SC700d on Oct 27th. Since then - the shipping date was always listed as "starts shipping Dec 14th". That's come and gone and no one on the "other" forum has received a shipping notice either. Now the status is listed as "back ordered".

Looks like I'll see it in 2019.

Shipping notice received .

What was your order date? Someone else on the "other" forum got a shipping notice.

10/19, should arrive Saturday .

Lucky you. I have my Samsung 21700 40T & 48G ready & charged - for some runtime graphs.

Let’s hope you get your shipment soon; as your graph information will be very helpful .

Emisar D4S is brighter, initially.

Battery included was at 3.4 v, so I used my 40T purchased from liionwholesale.com

Much more of a thrower than I thought it would be. Orange peel works.

Tests will tell but it sure appears to hold brightness well.

Anodizing color much closer to my earlier Zebralights. (less dark)

Tint is such an personal preference, yet for me (WW aficionado) neutral in the right way.

Hopefully, everyone is satisfied with their purchase.

Yes, photo please with a comparison light for size. Maybe next to a SC600.

More of a thrower than you thought it would be… Now I am curious!

.

User Boro has given me permission to post photos of his SC700d. To the left of the SC700d (on the first photo) is a Zebralight SC600w. I think these are the first such photos, other than the single photo on Zebralight's website. Thanks again to Boro.

.

That’s looks like one bada$$ light!

I’m very happy with my two Zebralights, but if I was ever pressed to get another I’d definitely give that one a try!

Thanks for showing pics next to a variety of other lights. It’s hard to tell the size when just photographed in hand. Now I can compare it to my Zebralight, D4 and SC26.

Yeah, thanks for the pics. Are you happy with the size? I’m hoping they put an xhp35 hi in this, then I would HAVE to pick one up.
