FW3A, a TLF/BLF EDC flashlight - SST-20 available, coupon codes public

Yes I know that.

The driver and firmware for the FW3A excited me, a little more sophisticated. The mechanics worry me. The overall way this is going saddens me.

But, as we all know, it doesn’t actually exist yet.

PL47 seems like a good compromise for a simple driver, and I will probably bite. I have the discount code.

Thank you.

If the self-proclaimed rocked scientist doesn’t know, the rest of us goobers don’t have a clue!

If you’re superstitious perhaps you feel that by constantly dropping in with negativity it will help add to the negative energy and make your predictions “right”?
I’ve always been perplexed by people who drop in to threads about things they are not interested in, don’t like, are not buying, etc.
It’s especially ugly in the apple/android wars, but it’s always present in the flashlight world. When a thread gets too positive there’s always someone to remind folks that there is someone else with a different opinion, preference, whatever. When it’s over and over like this I suspect it’s more than just “hey, listen to me!”.

We all have our flaws though, secretly I’d love to see it announced that the FW3A is cancelled just so I can watch Tom Tom strut around like the cock of the walk! What a sight that would be!

All the while TK keeps tweaking Anduril so when it does drop get ready for an interface that is very usable and FUN! Flashlights with Anduril are more than just lighting, they can be communication tools, mood enhancers, fiddle toys, utility tools, and more. My Zebralight SC62d rode EDC for at least a couple years but has been replaced by my D4 Anduril.

First you have to have a physical flashlight (torch) in your hands.

Then we can discuss the niceties.

But, so far, this one is theoretical (but I can see how it might just work, in the best possible case, it’s not complicated).

Meanwhile, in the absence of any communication from the principals, let’s just keep slagging each other off, if that’s what amuses you. Nothing to do with me, or you, we are just observers. Nor some connectedness with the “project”.

It fills a space, I suppose. Or is just vacuous. But contributes nothing.

Welcome back!

I don’t think anyone can say “That didn’t take too long to create” about the Fireflies products. It may APPEAR as if they simply pop up out of thin air, but the fact is they have been working on them for many many months. Much longer than any of us actually realize. We are not privy to all the “behind the scenes” drama involved in designing, prototyping, testing, tweaking, revisions, etc… of the Fireflies line of lights. The same goes for Emisar.

Yes, maybe he can’t find the unsubscribe button?

It’s at the bottom of post #1. Here is the link.

I’m interested in one.

But you didn’t? That’s why he corrected you that its FET+3, not 1 lol.

Whatever your opinio on this light please dont stop posting here.

About the special edition thing, I’ve been really tempted to change the thread title. I’ve always thought The Miller’s title was a little awkward. Special elegant triple powerful flashlight. Should probably change that at some point.

O.K.
:+1:

A shorter title. reduced.

Example:

The FW3A a TLF BLF : Lumintop 18650

Or similar.

Okay, that’s a little unnecessary.

What exactly is theoretical about a flashlight ToyKeeper claims has been carried around for 10 months now?

Will this flashlight be mass produced? That is a valid question…

The more people that respond to spam type comments, the more spam we will recieve. It’s best to just ignore them and wait for actual updates.

I’m interested in 2 lights.

I miss the ’good ole days’ when people said it & then just let it ride… .

ymmv

I think “show must go on” even if we have no response from Fritz.
It is stupid situation when 1500people waiting for one)

I’d like to reserve a FW3A please, or whatever we’re calling them once they’re released. It looks like a great concept.

edit: Make that 1501

Is it the tail switch that differentiates this from lets say a D4 ?

Funny you should ask, I was just thinking about that.
IMHO the answer is yes.
HDS, Novatac, Liteflux and maybe others have tackled this issue, some more successfully than others.
Again, IMHO HDS has done it best.
I don’t know if there are patent issues regarding that particular design but I’m hoping this version works.
The current carried to the switch is tiny so a much smaller conductor could be used.
A notch down the inside of the battery tube could house the insulated conductor.
It’s a matter of making it robust enough to handle battery changes and curious owners.
