They are for tools from when Aldi has the power tool sales. I think these battery packs at $30 are coming close to cost price.
Bunnings has just price matched Aldi battery prices but i am not sure what cells are inside. Probably brand name cells, could be LG or even the same cells but i can’t say for sure.
There are not many Aldi stores in Perth as they are relatively new in WA.
Over the weekend I went to 2 stores to find that they were sold out of battery packs and tools.
A staff member said that they only get them in from time to time and they sell out quickly.
He gave me next weeks specials catalogue and they should be available in store from Saturday 20 Oct.
I’m assuming that the catalogue applies to all of Australia and not just WA stores.
Anyone found any deals on 21700 batteries? I still haven’t purchased one for the FFPL47 yet. Where you guys getting yours? Samsung 40T’s seem to be the best
A bit worried ’cause I ordered 4 x 14500 & 8 x AA NiMh as well on individual orders, paid separate shipping for each assuming they’d send 3 packages. Instead they’ve sent them as one pack - hope it gets on the plane.
The 14500 was value for money, $21.62inc GST and delivery, measured 855mAh last night from one that came with SP10A/SF14v2.0
Thanks!
His final thoughts are that it isn’t a high current cell…isn’t this PL47 very similar to the D4 and D4S in the way that it’s super powerful and draws big current? The XPL HI says it’s 5000 lumens, basically the same as the Emisar which definitely needs high drain cells
G’day Aussies,
Hope you all had an awesome Xmas and New Years.
Quick question: who are you guys getting your 18650’s from these days? Need to restock on 30Q’s soon and just wondering who can get them into Australia at the moment.
lionheart - I have bought all my 30Q’s from Banggood. I placed several orders during 2018 and had no problems.
I think the last order was about 4 months ago. I looked out for coupon codes on BLF and usually got 4 cells for under AU$30.
Most of them were button tops. Expect to pay a bit more since the new 10% GST rule has been implemented.
Hi lionheart
The Oz government brought in the law in about August for overseas online stores to collect 10% gst on top of your purchase. This seems to be all the major players including eBay.
So when you click on “Buy Now” they add it on then.
Some smaller stores may not yet apply this.
I know that Banggood do.
