Yeah, teeny ones in CW and WW (!), bigger ones with integrated touch-switch (on/off, ramping), and don’t forget the “toothbrush” lights, usually COB but sometimes discrete, that also come in handy.
I kinda stocked up on a lifetime’s worth when GB was blitzing these things at wonderfully low prices (now, forget it, 10× as much).
Especially the WW ones make great nightlights, ’though the pwm can be horrible. Just scan the room with your eyes and you’ll see a big connect-the-dots trail.
Still, I carry 2 of ’em in the little pouch-thing in which I keep my earplugs and flash-thingy.
Once it’s cured with UV, you should have a sticky but shiny surface…
The problem is that the sticky finish will collect fingerprint, pocket lints etc…
So you have to polish it, on a denim jean for example…
I’ve got this type of a light today. White.
It’s a bit larger than I expected really.
Has no UI, plug in to turn on. Beam is mostly rectangular, not clean. Very cool ugly tint. I don’t like it.
Beam is artifact-free. Tint is OK. I like….but they were too large.
So I decided that I wanted to be like CRX, took a file and worked on it until I liked the result (checking if it’s still working from time to time).
At one plug-in, there was a blink and the light went dark.
No good.
So I took another, filed a little less. It works and is significantly better than stock. And it weighs 13% less too! That’s a whooping 0.4g saving.
I have a couple of those that I justed used with my power banks during a 3 day snow storm power outage. They were easily as useful as my fancy expensive lights!
