AA Batteries on Woot

Anyone have any information on these??????????????

Sounds like a pretty good deal. I'm not sure how much charge would be left in the cell after 7 years though!

Marc.

Not familiar with the charger and batteries, however, I was about to buy the iGo energy saving wall outlet plug-ins from a woot deal a few weeks back but the reviews weren't good. There's a reason they ended up on woot (and you could still get just as good of a deal from amazon). I pass on stuff like this when it's on woot because I now know there's a certain reason it's there at a discount, and that reason usually is not good.

Take a look at this and comment at the bottom. The guy says 40 charge cycles!

  • Includes 4-position battery charger with 4 AA rechargeable alkaline batteries

>rechargeable alkalines

I wouldn't buy that.

What’s that?

Something like this:

Basic concept is your devices that are always plugged in aren't still sucking electricity. With ordinary outlets there's still some electricity trickling into devices that are off.

Um, how does it detects whether devices are in stand-by mode or just low-powered ones? Sounds at least sketchy.
