ENDED.

If there is enough demand, we can get them to make for us.

I read that this light has step-less dimming? Does it work like Narsil UI? Is there a video of the user interface? Would be in for a SS bezel too!

What is the size of the reflector?

I wonder how does the throw compare with the similar size and spec Lumintop ODL20C?

Now I see lots of new information in the first post: 21700, good UI, NW emitter, and a charging port. Please add me to the list.

Questions are welcome, but please give me sometime to verify the facts from BG. I will ensure all specs are 100% firm before preorder starts.

What about xhp50.2 version?

Wonder if the light come up to it’s specification the Astrolux MF02 only get around half of it’s advertised intensity ,hopefully not for this one.

Not so soon.

Yea Astrolux specs are not to be trusted based on the MF01 and MF02. I suggest you multiply the specified numbers by 0.6 to get the actual numbers.

With that said, I’m still interested. This looks like a solid host at 260g. Should be able to handle XHP70.2 very well.

Oh boy, didn't expect mail delivery on Sunday. No choice but to wait till Monday to retrieve my parcel.

Banggood now has this light on their website Astrolux FT02

And they have a link to the manual.

Interessted!

I would like one.

ASTROLUX FT02

Quite big. You don’t have Utorch UT02 / Manker U21 / Manker U22, do you?

Can you please put the Imalent RT35 next to it? ;-)

The firmware looks like a mash between RampingIOS and Narsil. What is it?

Interestead

I have the GT Mini and the ODL20C on order form Banggood. They just arrived in Chicago so I should have them in another week or so. I really like this size/shape/style of light with the side click controls- I guess because I grew up with Maglites. This design just feels right for night time walks and the built-in charging on the ODL20C and FT02 makes these perfect for my work truck.

BTW, weights of a few single-cell reflector throwers larger than C8 (w/out battery, manufacturer data):

  • Lumintop GT Mini 150g
  • Emisar D1S 151g
  • Nitecore P30 165g
  • Manker U22 183g
  • Thrunite Catapult V6 192g
  • Acebeam T27 230g
  • Astrolux FT02 258g
  • Convoy L2 279g
  • Manker U21 290g
  • Lumintop ODL20C 300g
  • Utorch UT02 306g
  • Amutorch JM70 311g

Green are 18650, orange 21700, red 26650

With a high-capacity cell (GA/Tesla/Shockli):

  • Lumintop GT Mini 198g
  • Emisar D1S 199g
  • Nitecore P30 213g
  • Manker U22 252g
  • Thrunite Catapult V6 288g
  • Acebeam T27 309g
  • Astrolux FT02 327g
  • Convoy L2 375g
  • Manker U21 386g
  • Lumintop ODL20C 396g
  • Utorch UT02 402g
  • Amutorch JM70 407g

Weird, Amutorch JM70 certainly felt lighter than Convoy L2.
