It’s probably from XXL’s line of Olight exclusives. Sometimes they start selling them through other channels as well. I’ve seen a lot of headlamps that were never officially released elsewhere. So, probably not a fake.
edit: if it had a lower low mode that would probably be quite nice with some nicer emitters such as LH351D…
Thanks for the answer!
Aha, that’s interesting. Had no idea they did that.
Then I’ll keep it and will look in to changing emitters.
Btw: You don’t happen to know any good DIY-guide for that?
I got a reply from XXL.
They said it’s a ”SMU model” and it’s a improved version of R50 Pro.
I can’t compare them, but it’s a nice light. Good throw but also very floody.
I got a reply from Olight in Germany (I was shooting questions all over the place…)
They said the RX3 was only sold to Norway. And XXL is a norwegian company.
Anyway, it’s a great light for a good price, so I think you should be happy with it.
Thats cool i didnt know olight did exclusive lights for a country… i have the r50 copper and i prefer the single led in that light but still interesting too see that.
After looking at the pics, here is how I see it :
It’s an R50 body (no IR receiver on the side), but with the R50 PRO magnetic tailcap, and a triple reflector.
I’d love to own one, and swap the XP-L for some 219C :-p
or u can just wait for a newer model ? they are gonna make a new light of this based on the r50 host only smaller, with 3 emitters and gonna use 21700 with same light modes like the x9r has, think its gonna be a neat light.
