Paypal price on AliExprees is always higher. Has nothing to do with this light
Just attempted the discount ācheat codeā and couldnāt get it to work, so I ended up paying full price. They should either reimburse the difference or something else because this method isnāt cutting it for a lot of us.
Also Ali charges 80 cents for Paypal use.
That is annoying, at least we know Sofirn is doing the best they can.
This is my first Sofirm group buy.
Just followed the process as described. No discount. Paypal charged full price for two. Oh well.
Paying an extra buck is not a big deal, but if the BLF Lantern project ever actually happens for example, it would be nice to get the discount next time.
I appreciate the good work people have put in, but if the company doesnāt cooperate and we have to pay full price, I might not be able to participate in the end.
I however cannot seem to get Paypal to show up once they adjusted price?

I leave the seller a message, select the PayPal option, then Confirm and Pay and am directed to PayPal page. I donāt complete the purchase on the PayPal page, but when I go back to Ali, my shopping cart is empty. No way to āwaitā for price change, there is no item there to wait for.
Edit. They are not in my shopping cart anymore, but when I click on Orders, I see the order status as Awaiting Payment. So I guess now I wait.
Edit 2: After a while I refreshed the āOrdersā page and price changed from 7.02 to 6.50. Clicked on āPay Nowā. PayPal was not an option, but when I clicked Cancel, a PayPal option was on the next popup. Ali charges $0.80 to use PayPal. So it was $6.50 + $0.80. Everything worked perfect. I had never done it this way before, so I was confused, but it all worked out. 
Itās not a ācheat codeā or a coupon code, or anything. Sofirn need there to be an order on file, then someone on their end checks out the comment (no idea how rigorously), and manually adjusts your cart total. So you have to get far enough in the process that thereās an order for someone over there to look at, then they will adjust. You periodically ārefreshā and eventually the new total will show up, but it depends on how busy things are at their end. I have an aliexpress account from previous activity, so I could close the page, sign into my acct, and bring up an order to see if it had been updated. Not entirely sure how it would work if you didnāt have an account. I assume that a browser refresh would do it. But you have to get far enough in the order process for it to be filed on their end. I went through and chose other pmt options, wire transfer, which just brings up a page of info on how you would do that. Then the order was in their system, and I could come back to it later and see if the price had been updated.
I went ahead an ordered with Paypal. Total for 2 of each tint was $27.04, so it was still a tiny bit cheaper than the original price. Overall Iām not too worried about an extra dollar or so.
Adjusted price in my cart is $6.93 per unit, not $6.50

Ordered āfullā price as well. Full in quotes because I wasnāt expecting the full price would only be 50 cent more. I really donāt care for a few cents and am glad they handled this as well as they did.
