Nothing worst than with any website outside of china. Your payment is encrypted like anywhere else with https.
I made hundreds of “cyber” payments before paypal exists and never had a problem. I’m never using “the one click” payment or equivalent that save the credit cart number and info on the website (ebay, amazon, aliexpress, etc).

It was not a complete runtime test but one that started with an almost empty battery to check the ‘vampire draw quality’ of the light.
An actual runtime test starting with full battery was never done but a very likely runtime number can be predicted when you know that the current is supposed to be set at 25mA. You get more than 40 hours out of an alkaline battery then. Maybe someone can do a review with an actual runtime test. Or maybe I will do it one of these days

Many people buy trits at Mixglo.com, you need the smallest type 6mmx1.5mm.
I have ordered some 5mm diameter x 3mm thickness neodymium magnets at Fasttech many weeks ago but I must say they are slow to arrive. Another test that is not actually done (will the C01 succesfully stick to a vertical metal surface with such magnet)

Thanks. Feel better my first order from aliexpress.

When I follow the instructions, add comment with my BLF ID, go to PayPal and then “cancel and return,” it cleared out my my shopping cart.

Ack.

Thanks for the info djozz!

Behold, I just looked through my old stash of neodymium magnets and came across some 5mmx3mm ones after all (probably bought from Fasttech a few years back). So with a piece of wood and some care I managed to hammer one into one of the sample lights without breaking the magnet (in the production lights the hole is slightly larger so you need glue), and I can report that the C01 sticks quite happily to a vertical metal surface. Nothing extremely firm but the magnet does the job fine :+1:
(The split ring becomes very happy too, responding to the magnet  )

I nominate gurdygurds to do the runtime test

regarding concerns about destroying an Eneloop

Do you think recharging when the light goes dim would eliminate that concern?

note these lights start at about 5 lumens,
and the vampire mode is well below 1 lumen,
so it should be obvious when the light needs a fresh battery, no?

Go to “My Orders” You will see the order there with status as “Awaiting Payment.” Refresh every so often until Sofirn changes the amount from 7.02 to 6.50, then click “Pay Now” to complete your order. You will be charged 0.80 to use PayPal on Ali though, which is normal.

yes
and fwiw, the 80 cents charge is Per ORDER, not per light

Thanks dijozz for confirming that a 5 x 3 mm magnet holds the light well enough :THUMBS-UP: .

Now the wait for the red and blue batches begin, hopefully they will be ready at the same time, so you don't have to order multiple times if you want both.

Just ordered four - two of each tint. Total charge $27.72.

Thanks gentlemen. PayPal sent. My E01 just gave me the middle finger.

I almost want buy one of these to see what it’s all about. Is it the CRI that makes this light so popular? Seems durable according to the video. Just seems as though the output is fairly low which is what is keeping me from pulling the trigger. I have a Nitecore Tip and got my wife the Astrolux K1.

Eh? I thought that it was safe to drain a single cell, but not to drain a pack of NiMH cells so not to reverse a weak cell. No?

Followed the directions and keep refreshing to see price update but no joy.
Ive refreshed it numerous times but no update.
Any suggestions.

Alex

You have to wait for Sofirn to respond.

I’ve done this too for my order. You just have to wait

Is it only like .43 more to pay full price …seems like a lot of effort for half a buck. Am I missing a 2 for 1 or some other special?
