[Available again! - BLF special edition light] new Sofirn AAA twisty high CRI 5mm LED

The regular price is also quite good. We didnā€™t know before hand what that regular price would be.

The savings add up more for people buying multiples, of course.

The CRI and the even, floody beam are the main differences between this new light and the Fenix E01, a light long appreciated for itā€™s durability, efficiency, and ability to get as much energy as possible from its battery.

In many situations, high outputs are not needed. Those are the times when the C01 will be at its best, but it wonā€™t substitute for the Tip or the K1 for the times when you need a lot of light.

Not much lights can fire up with almost dead batteries. This one can.

Aye, thereā€™s the rub. Check the voltage on NiMH when you notice a drop in brightness and let us know how low it can go.

Iā€™ve grown wary of ever using alkalines because I realized they can keep a LED flashlight adequately bright while theyā€™ve already leaked badly ā€”- I used to rely on the dimming of incandescents to clue me in to change alkaline batteries before they could leak.

So now I only use the Energizer lithium primaries or NiMH cells.

At the time of writing the price is US $6.93 - even without the BLF discount that seems like a good deal to me. Fr me the biggest reason to apply for the discount is to let Sofirn know that BLF members are following through and ordering.

3200K appears to be sold out at the moment. :frowning:

Iā€™m a little confused as well.

So there will not be a GB delivery or discount code and weā€™re to use this order-get discount-and pay method with Sofirn direct instead, correct?

Do Interested parties need to confirm on this thread/master list if ā€™ weā€™ve ordered on AE?

FWIW, I was ā€œ1; 1 ā€“ pc_light (967)ā€ and have ordered such directly just now, so I can now be cleared from ā€œthe listā€.

Thanks for all the coordination efforts which couldnā€™t have been easy.

I was hoping to order 3200 and 5600 but 3200 is sold out. Do we wait?

There will be plenty more of the 3200K:

This was just the first batch of 300 produced, thereā€™s 1700 more to come, and the people on the list were promised the discount to 6.5 dollar. So yes they should come in stock again and I assume soon.

The output is low and the beam is flood, this light has no punch whatsoever. I kept it in my pocket for weeks together with an E2L triple shorty EDC (also 3000K extreme CRI but 1000+ lumen at max) and in no circumstance that I needed some light for a moment I decided to pick the C01.

But the C01 has already been a nightstand light for my son when we stayed in a hotel (heā€™s afraid for total dark), doubling as his donald duck reading light in the morning when I was still asleep. For the nightstand duty the diffuser of the Lumintop Worm worked quite perfectly (btw, Barry will try to source a suitable diffuser for the C01 for selling separately). I check the mailbox with the C01 as well.

And thereā€™s always the people who want a light that always works when everything else fails, the C01 may prove to be that light over time. At least Sofirn has tried to copy that feature from the Fenix E01. The 95CRI may not be needed for this function but it does not hurt either  . I can confirm that the 5 to 7 lumen flood of the C01 will sufficienty light your path in the woods when it is totally dark (it will not spot the bear in the distance :stuck_out_tongue: ).

They had 2 3200 available just now when were out before.

Im still waiting, no price adjustment since yesterdayā€™s orders.
Got a reply to my messages that was just someoneā€™s copypaste, when I left the message asking for the price adjustment so I could pay.
Whoever saw it doesnā€™t read well.

The order info page claims Iā€™ve paid for three flashlight orders, but I didnā€™t, following the suggestions in this thread.

I got the same reply.

Just to remind this folks!!

I sure hope so since I put two of each in my cart last night at $7.01 USD, and today I find that the 3200K version is priced at $8.88. Thatā€™s just a little too much for my budget.

Why isnā€™t the option to use PayPal showing up for me? Is there something you need to do?

For me it makes a difference which browser I use, and which platform. On the PC, using Firefox, I get the Paypal option. On my tablet, on Chrome,if I choose ā€˜desktop versionā€™, the Paypal option is there too. Try a few different options.

>which browser

Yup. I canā€™t even log in to Ali with Firefox right now, but Safari displays the login fields fine.
Progress, no doubt.

Huh. I got a message saying

So I went to check and the order has been ā€œcancelled by the buyerā€ - fooey.

In my experience, you bring up the payment window, and it shows only CC options. If you cancel that, it then offers PP. That may not be your experience; just wanted to put that one observation out there in case it helps anyone.
