Just remember, things are not always as they may seem and people are seldom as they appear. We are a world wide consortium of people with a kindred interest, with diverse backgrounds and specialties as wide as the sky. Many languages are spoken, many cultures represented, and stillā¦ the awe of a flashlight in the dark of night is the inspiration. We donāt all have to understand some of the concepts, only the true one. Let there be lightā¦.
I think some people are talking about a keyboard & ships & other stuff , they should be talking about a torch ( I think) :person_facepalming: please stay on topic because my head hurts.
Oh, actually this is a PC keyboard forum and some people obviously posted some off-topic items like flashlights, etc. Hahaā¦
In reality, this off-topic banter has happened before to BLF projects that encountered delays and people just make things manageable the long waitingās effect through crazy off topic posts, all in the spirit of fun.
Have to admit, nice keyboard, but when looking it up they mention, its 89,99 and it does not come with keys, you have to buy them separately ? :person_facepalming:
I donāt really consider Home and End to be essential. However, it comes with a lot more keycaps than it can actually fit at one time, so the user can include whatever keys they want. And the firmware is open and easily configured, so the user can arrange the keys in any way. It also has extensive layering functionality, so it can give each key a bunch of different functions. Itās designed to be whatever the individual user wants.
About Home and End in particular though, I have three different ways to access those functions:
Vim-like programs: 0 and $
Emacs-like programs: Ctrl-A and Ctrl-E
Other: Fn-Left and Fn-Right
If thereās a thing missing that I wonder how people live without though, itāsā¦ How can you use a keyboard without mouse functions? I find it really useful being able to click and scroll and stuff from the keyboard, without having to move my hand to a mouse.
TK? Could you make the keyās auto ranging and only use like 4 actual letters? In this way I could have fun with my wife when sheās doing the two fingered hunt and peck and only getting one word on āpaperā.
I must be doing something wrong though, because even after all my posts here I still have paint on my keys.
Agreed, its the tilde placement on regular full size and TKL boards that puzzles me. That key could be very commonly used for some people for all I know however.
Edit: Oh man that iceberg chart. Too real. Flashlights saved me from mech keyboards, but they didnāt save my wallet. And now Iām getting practice soldering soooā¦
