OSRAM CSLNM1.TG & CULNM1.TG 1mm², CSLPM1.TG & CULPM1.TG 2mm²

so, anyone has real figure about DD driver and low drain cell( ncr18650B, ncr18650GA, samsung 35e)
i am planning to put it to emisar D1s, what is the throw i can expect? half a mile?

I actually have one of those. I curious as to who makes a good spacer for this LED. I had to super glue one in place to hold it as close to center on a C8. It’s OK but could be better. Any ideas? Maybe the 3535 spacer modded. Hoping someone makes one.

I've been successful in glueing the typical 5050 plastic spacer of a Convoy S2+ around a 3535 emitter over its MCPCB. Just be frugal with the glue and/or clean any remainings around the emitter with an alcohol soaked cotton swab while you retain the spacer properly centered.

To my knowledge, there’s no spacer available yet. Did you see djozz’s makeshift spacer in the first post? He cut notches in a 3535 spacer to fit the 3030. Not perfect, but might be a better option than glueing.

Osram KW CSLPM1.TG (2mm2) is available now:

https://led4power.com/product-category/leds1/osram/

Kills XP-G2 in throw, while having 1500lm+ output, which is great for factory undomed 2mm2 LED with pure white tint. Vf is ridiculously low, 3V@3A,3.13V@5A,3.3V@8,5A.

Wait a minute.

I just received https://led4power.com/product/new-osram-kw-cslnm1-tg-1mm2-throw-king-bare/ to drive it on 3.6А in my 1405. I haven’t put it in yet.

What is this new led? Is the surface brightness higher? How can both be throw kings? Throw king can only be the one with the highest brightness.

Please if you can point me to a test or info, so I can see which one is the real king, because my 1405 is an ultradedicated thrower and only surface brightness matters.

mdeni, that KW CSLPM1.TG looks to be the bigger die size brother of the KW CSLNM1.TG. If so, it is unlikely it will deliver more luminous intensity, just more lumens. May be a better choice for flashlights capable of delivering higher currents and dissipating heat faster.

Let's wait for led4power's further comments. :-)

Cheers

CSLNM1.TG - throw king in 1mm2 class (let's call it 1mm2 white flat)

CSLPM1.TG - throw king in 2mm2 class (let's call it 2mm2 white flat)

1mm2 one is "absolute" throw king if you compare cd/mm2, so if you want max. throw ->1mm2 white flat.

As usual, smaller die LEDs can be overdriven harder, 1mm2 white flat has peak output at ~5.5-5.75Amps, 2mm2 one has peak at ~8.5Amps, obviously 1mm2 can take more power per mm2.

BLF member luminarium can tell more about real life experience of both LEDs,since he built few lights with both LEDs.

hello, i’ve just put it in emisar D1S, got 80k cd reading @ 2 meters, so, really impressive, in theory it throws more than 1km

Was it the CSLNM1.TG or CSLPM1.TG that you put in it?

80kCd in a D1S is underwhelming to say the least, typo maybe ?

I was wondering why sky lumen’s numbers were so different:

320kCd

But that was at 2m and with inverse sq law…

The unit should be klux then, not kcd

He says “in theory it throws more than 1km”, thus I believe he wanted to say “got 80Klx @ 2 meters” which is 320KCd and equals ≈1131.37m of throw.

320kcd under a tiny TIR? nah something is not correct

They talk about about D1S 50mm reflector FL, not Quad D4S.

Ugh yes thanks I see now

I also had opportunity to play with this larger 2mm white flat. Test with classic light meter and clamp meter (so test is just for reference before someone with better equipment test it). Full Samsung INR 30 Q. Single cell 18650 light with FET Djozz driver.

4.2V, 13.4A, 930 FC

4.0V, 12.5A, 950 FC

3.9V, 11.4A,1050 FC

3.8V, 10A, 1250 FC

3.7V, 9.20A, 1200 FC

3.6V, 8.20A, 1150 FC

3.4V, 7A , 1100 FC

Somewhere at 8-9A will be just enough…

The most beautiful emitter I ever had in my aspheric light. When searching at night in zoom in mode with aspheric light it looks like wide screen TV 16:9 format

But my conclusion this ain’t emitter for single cell fet drivers but you can put it in if you insist and wanna play. Regulation is must if you don’t wanna live on the edge

Also very robust emitter. It can withstand some serious current draw. Add as thinner layer of solder paste as possible.
