What have you got on order and why :)

A Fluke 289 DMM. Do I need it? nope. I already have a perfectly good Fluke 189 that's served me well for 10+ years. So why did I buy it? Good question...

I have ordered these zoomies in the last few weeks.

None have arrived yet and I have yet to own a zoomable light, not counting Maglites.

Why? Let me count the ways.

I am trying to kill several birds with one stone.

I have had no interest in lights with aspheric lenses until I purchased a Dereelight and these little cheap zoomies have peaked my interest.

I have read here on this forum that there is a definate lottery factor when buying these lights. So I am going to order two or three of the AA/14500s a month and sort through them and play with them and keep the best of the best.

As for the leftovers...

Every year my family gets together for Christmas and I think I am going to show up with a bag of these to hand out. I also think I can sell these around the shop to subsidize this little zoomie phase.

I have been spending money on flashlights, batteries, chargers, etc, at an embarrassing rate the last two or three years and hopefully this plan will keep my head in the flashlight game and keep a steady flow of packages coming to satisfy my insatiable flashaholic tendencies without breaking the bank. I might even get some golfing and fishing in.

Also, these cheap zoomables seem to be plentiful on Ebay. I just recently signed up on Ebay and am still a little green when it comes to bidding and such. Buying and bidding on these less than $10.00 lights will help me get my feet wet without risking too much.

That's my story and I am sticking to it... maybe.

swm t20cs on the way..why? cus I couldn't resist it lol

How do you think the Small Sun ZY-A4 comares to the Small Sun ZY-C10-S ????

We're all in the same boat. You're in good company my friend :)

lol wouldn't be the same place if that wasn't true..

I haven't received them yet, but I will compare them when I do.

Yes, we all suffer from the same addiction....

Are we really suffering? <wink>

Only when the wife sees the bill, Glenn!

lol! maybe that's why I never got married!

I've got #2 and #3. #4 is pretty much the same as #3. But I use them all with 18650s.. #2 is brighter than #3 but the light is more blue and the zoomed die is larger. So I prefer the output of #3 but I mainly use #2 to work and stuff because when zoomed to flood, the illuminated area is larger + it tailstands. And its cheap, so I dont care if it breaks (ruined one already). Thats the reason I ordered them.. cheap to keep somewhere and (ab)use.

I've got an blue L2p with reverse clicky + 3mode manafont xml dropin coming.

Also a pair of TF3000 and Himax 2600. Oh, and a Small Sun ZY-C10-S.

Why? Why not!

.... because i bought this...

... because I always wanted one.

But the real reason I decided to buy those two was because I bought

because I wanted a light with my key chains.

ended up spending a lot more then i intended to. And guess what... i decided to purchase the PA10 only coz I figured i save $2 on getting a registered and insured package by having my total bill reach $60.

Well i have not brought any thing torch related since the TR-J12 so the other day i ordered a couple of lights.

POPPas W-878 XM-L T6 1200-Lumen 5-Mode Flood-To-Throw LED Flashlight - Black (1 x 18650/3 x AAA/1 x 26650)

The reson i ordered this one was cause ive never had a flood to throw in a led, it was cheap, it has a 3 x AAA battery holder a spacer to use a 18650 and you can use a 26650 as i think 26650,s in single cell lights is the furture.

I also ordered this one

TrustFire A8 CREE XM-L T6 1000-Lumen 5-Mode Memory Flashlight w/26650 Battery & Battery Charger Set - Titanium Finish

The reson i ordered this one was cause i really like the look of it i think 26650,s in single cell lights is the furture, it comes in a nice gift box, i dont need the charger as i can use my hobby charger but a family friend can use it so i will do a quick mini reveiw on the charger and i wanted to test a protected trustfire 26650 battery. I think this would be a great kit for people starting out with 26650 cell lights as the charger and 26650 battery is over $24 usd alone. I will do a mini review and see driver compatiblity when it gets here.

And i still have not saved enough for my TK60

Solarforce L2P Blue host, and MF/UF 3-mode XM-L dropin. Why? I'd rather say - why not. That drop-in is awesome, and blue host looks sleek. Waiting for stainless steel bezel now. :]

a couple of 26650's to use in my Old-Lumens custom maglite.

4 bike lights from DX (Huge pricing error). I'll be stunned if I actually get them - but it does say "Prepare Shipment" on the order page. Since the current official price for these is $362.40 I have my doubts...

I did once see a Sun page that allowed me to specify a 5 million dollar server (It had 127CPU boards (hot swappable) and came in 4 standard 42 unit 19" racks) for £17 plus shipping. I was tempted, but the thought of where I'd actually put them given that they wouldn't fit through any of the doors in this house and weighed several tons - not to mention needing many kilowatts of three-phase power. So I emailed them to see if I really could order 4 of them. Could have cleared several million dollars including "free" shipping anywhere. Unfortunately Sun declined to sell me four of them :(

But DX aren't Sun so maybe, just maybe they'll arrive.

I was one of the lucky winners in the first Exduct raffle .

So I ordered this kit from Exduct . It is the ' beginner ' model with only two different grit stones . I will post my observations about it once I've had a chance to check it out .

I pulled the trigger on a Cyclone C88 from IO. I lost my head while I was there and ordered the X-Power Wildfire and 3 of Hanks new XM-L drop-ins.

That site is evil, I tell you. Once you log in to buy one item, Hank puts some kind of hex in an internet packet that zips directly into your mouse, unzips and explodes a click virus to your index finger and the next thing you know, the rent money is gone.
